This is a channel that highlights my work as an actor and in production.
Yo Yo
Born of the pandemic, out of the mothballs and into the studio, with some songs that have laid around for far too long! Decided to put them together for an album of sorts. This is the sixth after another for more acting work and life. One of the first songs I ever wrote. Did it way back in Columbia, MO. with the Thursday Night Club Band and then here in Nashville with Crosswind. Hope you like it!

Born of the pandemic, out of the mothballs and into the studio, with some songs that have laid around for far too long! Decided to put them together for an album of sorts. This is the fifth after a bit of a pause for some acting work all last fall through Christmas. Used to do this with our acoustic group, Crosswind way back when with sister Ginny on the lead vocal.... Born of the pandemic, out of the mothballs and into the studio, with some songs that have laid around for far too long! Decided to put them together for an album of sorts. Four done so far. This is one I actually wrote a while ago and my sister recorded. This version is a little more Americana. Just always like the image of the hands of time.... Hope you like it! THE MASTER.
Bob Wallace here. Do you know what Kirk Sand died from? Your play gets better and better. Cheers.
❤🔥🙏
Such a gentleman and so much of a scholar at reading into people! I love this interview with merle and his friends ❤️ 💕 💗
Merle is the greatest! Love that man and miss him.
Bless his heart. He was having breathing issues. Thank you sir. Rest In Peace
Love Richard's playing..... a wealth of talent and girth😉
She played so wonderfully.
No idea who Richard Smith is, but i see you have 666 subscribers, and that Smith is a MONSTER in the Merle Travis tradition, so I'm a fan of you both.
Richard is a British picker prodigy. National Finger Picking champ is 2002. He played with Chet Atkins on stage in London at the age of 11. Chet said "The kid's better than me!" LOL! If you liked "Cannonball Rag"....check this out. Truly incredible. Tommy Emmanuel is floored by it! ua-cam.com/video/RCGGG9piAGY/v-deo.html

One of a very few artists that can lift my mood completely
Hank was my step uncle (my mom was married to one of his brothers), and what a talent he was. ♥
Прелесть!
Enjoy Merle talking almost as much as singing!
I spent fifteen years on the road and I wore out so many Haggard cassette tapes. Lol. And I was lucky enough to meet him after a concert he did in 2003. I was determined to get him to sighn my telecaster. Outside his bus he said " How about you hold it up and I'll sighn it". And that is (one of my favorite memories of all).
Course there’s a great Johnny Paycheck song called “help me Hank I’m falling”. Mentions A11 in the song
Thanks Richard for guitar rag and variations too.
Thank you. I discovered her delightful playing about 5 years ago. Versatile, but best when she just intuitively surprises us - - - and maybe herself
Show that 4 speed shifter again, lol..
I sure did love the Hagg..
GFG
Heureusement t que je ne l’ai pas vraiment connu en vrai je serai devenue folle d’amour et de jalousie...quel homme séduisant ! ! ! Il reste dans ma vie par la musique but love forever...❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I knew his mama, brother Butch .
Thats an awesome story but I have questions that you didn't answer. Who was the guy the hit you?, Why did he hit you?, How long did you stay under the table? Did anyone try come to your aid?, Where the cops called?, Did you ever get your coffee?, What happened next?. So many questions......
I was at the 71 winter nationals and saw Don taking his car through tech. The high point of the meet was Don taking top fuel. The low point was loosing Pete Robinson as a result of a terrible crash at the finish line. We were lucky to have gotten north of Sylmar before the big earth quake happened.
I really enjoyed listening to Merle talk he’s one in a million, I sure miss him but I still have his music.❤
Tout est dit j’aime t’écouter parler.?.thanks pour cet interview...tu as un regard qui parle ...RIP ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I sure miss old Merle as well ! Saw him in Casper Wyoming. He was awesome.
Saw him in Charlotte NC in 1976 , when he came on stage ' He said ' I feel a little funny and he asked the audience ' Are my eyes red? The audience cracked up 😂. He had a sense of humor.
I would cut off a appendage to be able to do that. Don is the man!!!
If I knew how to play piano, I’d want to play like her! Thank you for letting us hear her voice
Merle Haggard a man a Legend in our lives forever. RIP Sir.
Are The Good Times Really Over For Good? He's gone so yeah, they really are. RIP and thanks for all the great memories Merle ♥️💐🥀
I am a UK fan and I love listening and watching Merle Haggard and I will love him always.
Wow- loved this --back in the very early 1980's my 2 COUSINS & I would go to the RENO RODEO EVERY YR,, & we would take in a show & 3 times it was the one & only MERLE HAGGARD--, he puts on such a good show,-- my MOM LOVED MRELE--her song was " BIG CITY , TURN ME LOOSE SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE OF MONTANA""-- I love his song "" Silver Wings"" , but I love all of them👍👍, we also saw GEORGE STRAIGHT- our other FAV 👍, & we loved LANE FROST who we saw at the RENO RODEO before he went to Cheyenne Fronteir Days & ultimately died there😥, I have a LANE FROST Cowboy bible with a personal message in it from ELSIE & CLYDE FROST ,, him momma & daddy & I cherish it🙌 R.I.P. to all of them 🕊🕊🕊😇🎶🎶🎵🎵
Great song. Lyrics and melody are very nice. Imagery holds together throughout. Excellent ....
Thanks, Donato!!
who is interviewing
This is from the Reel Cool Films / Toppa-Poppa-Jons documentary, "Hank Cochran: Livin' for a Song" Wesley Pryor of Reel Cool Films, who directed, is the voice you hear.
You had to smoke that God dang joint.thats funny I can't imagine what it was like on the Colorado River that weekend.
Hank is great songwriter and story teller.rip
I meet Hank once, standing on his boat on Barkley Lake. He shook my hand, and started telling me about his boat.
My favorite country music singer, George Jones ... He was a wild man at times. Lol .
I had two encounters with George, one when our band was sound checking at the Hall of fame hotel in Nashville, around noon, and George came in and ordered a mixed drink (no really?) and I went into the "Grand Tour" in his honor, and George said "That guy is better than me today" You know George was "in voice" about half the time so---The next encounter was in Mobile , George was SUPPOSED to be in concert in Gulfport/Biloxi but was a "NO SHOW". He checked in at the I65 Holiday Inn, and the girls there knew me, called me at the Blue Jay Lounge where I was playing, and I went over to see George, got a picture of George and me with two gals who worked the Holiday Inn; Lying in bed! LOL We did some singing then too, and I went back after my Gig and George had locked people out, those girls would not leave him alone. George drove a Chevy S10 with a "I love Country Music" tag on the front. I was really glad when George quit drinking. It made him the wild Man. RIP George my Hero, (& MERLE)
So they couldn’t get Hank on camera I guess. Maybe a contract dispute lol.!
I was just a hillbilly cowboy from Oklahoma and heard My Friends Are Going To Be Strangers in 1966, I think, and I didn’t know who it was, but then by 1969 I was trying to sing every song Merle recorded. The bottom line Merle is the best there is, that I’ve ever heard in all areas of a song. I’ve recorded at Fireside a lot.
Love Me.lotsa Merle
George lived the fullest life. At least he had fun 🤩
I've been there, it's worth a trip from Missouri for it.
Such treasures leave us with great things even though we've never had the pleasure of meeting or working with them. Even so, we feel like we were friends.
Merle lost his father at 9 but nowadays father's just leave their children before they turn 9 what a sad state of affairs
