Recall is spot on. "And then I drew Ancestral Recall" is how 80% of vintage comeback stories begin. Unwinnable positions flip and you get the game. If you're tied, you're suddenly ahead. If you're ahead you basically guaranteed victory. Lotus isn't ramp. It's a combo piece that can also technically ramp, but it's power comes from being able to bring it back and reuse it again and again. Sol ring and Mana Crypt as well as the Moxen and second or third depending on what kind of hate is popular. Time Walk isn't as good as it looks. You always need more cards, you frequently need more mana, but an extra turn, while it can be massively impactful, can also just be an explore, drawing you a card and giving you a land drop for 2 mana. Combo frequently doesn't need an extra turn and storm variants actively want to avoid it. Because combat rarely matters, most decks can't really do much with it and being in blue means Vintage staples like Shops and Dredge can't play it. It's really good in blue decks that are playing a tempo game. Mentor used to be able to utilize it really well but that makes it a specialized tool. If you want extra turns time vault is just the better card. It goes infinite with almost anything and it's colorless.
