Hello, Thanks for the video. What can you say a year after your review? In DJ stores in my area, the HK Polar 12 is considered entry-level and some sellers even tell me that for weddings of 100 people its limits. Other DJ sites do not even consider the Polar HK 12 to be professional. The price difference is so big that it is easy to be influenced by reviews. Hearing them in a store does not give the reality of a full reception room either. Thank you for the clarification of this product after a year of use.
I still really like them ... I've had people who work in the audio industry hear these and really like them . I have now done several parties over 200 people with these. no problem. I do know the bass does roll off after about 150 people. so I am considering grabbing a couple extra subs for larger venues.... that said, we are there to light up the dance floor, not the entire venue. These really do hold their own and I am surprised they aren't more money. If I get the chance, I will do an update video. Thanks for watching
Great!
How are they?? I picked up the Everse 8 & 12 and wow.
How did you make out with this mixer for your ceremonies?
Nice!!
Love my DDJ-800!! How are you making out with it?
@@MrDJMikieMike it’s ok. Very good sound and loaded with options without being too much. I’m going to start looking for a new 4 channel
@ definitely the FLX10..
@@MrDJMikieMike maybe... maybr rane, maybe Prime 4 plus, maybe traktor s4... not sure yet
I just got 1 today Thanks AARON
Happy to hear it!! If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Cheers!
Hate to ask, but how do they compare to bose pro16 or is tbe sound warm, bright. What column array do they sound like? Have you ever played an live singer with an acoustic guitar through them? Watched 3 videos on these and nothing on how they sound.
@@tommyzsp I have ran live sound through them. They sound good. I hate to use the word “good” because it’s subjective. The high frequency driver, adds a little clarity and high the older Bose sticks didn’t have. I personally have yet to run the new line of Bose pro equipment. I’ll try to put a long term test video out at my next couple of events and make an update video
could this be used for console use such as ps5 or xbox?
If the console you have has Bluetooth output capabilities then yes. You can connect Bluetooth to the mixer.
No scrim if outdoors or pool party or something...with scrim in this situation!! Looks clean!!!
Nothing special about this mixer. You can connect ANY mixer to a power bank.
@borg386 no, you actually can't. This one connects to a USB A or C power bank, like a small 10,000 mah one. It only requires 5 volts of power, which is very low. Every other mixer is 12v or higher, which would require some type of inverter and this one has a space inside itself to store the battery. No other mixer can do this. This one truly is unique
Niiiiiice🎉
enjoy unboxing
woooow i love this ...

Awesome 😮
Did you ever find out where the system is produced? They are supposed to be produced at Soundking in China as an HK specified OEM variant of the SoundKing Artos 1200
Theirs was specifically designed in Germany and are made in china. Like everything else. I’ve seen the Atros1200 online and it’s a close replica but who knows if they use the same internal parts.
Sondking Artos 1200 is pretty different as design and has just 122db, the Polar 12 has 127db (much louder), there is by the way, a perfect clone as design, the Agera Acoustics CA-12A, but also this has 122db. So I think they share the design but not the tech spec. I got a Polar 12 For the small Pub, and works great. But for medium/big wedding even 2 of them are not enough, I use 2 full range EV ELX200-10p and 2 QSC Sub, to cover from 150-300 people.
How do it sound man ? For a mobile djing (small bar )
They sound great. I’ve used them in small bars too
Nice. Have a great day Aaron.
nice!! hope they sound as good as they look
Thanks, they do. Appreciate you watching
I’m looking at this setup or the EV Evolve 30m for events up to 125, possibly 150. Which one, in your opinion, is better? I like the fact that the HK Polar 12s come with bags. Weight and portability are important for me. The sub on the EV weighs about 35 pounds. How much does the HK Polar sub weigh?
According to their website, the Polar 12 sub part is 47 lbs. well, if it was the Evolve 50, it would be a closer comparison. Max SPL of the Polar 12 is 127, the Evolve 30 is 123. The Evolve 50 is 127. Driver sizes, also different, the polar 12 is a 12” LF driver , the evolve 30, is a 10. So honestly, I wouldn’t push a pair of 30’s past 100 people. The HK can be up to 200. Which I’ve done more than a few times. So yes the Polar is heavier but it can handle larger crowds
Thank you. I do have a pair of EV ELX 200 12 tops and one EKX 15sp and a pair of ELX 200 12sp subs for events larger than 125 or 150. I have heard that you can add subs to the Evolve system. Given the 30m is in the same ecosystem, I was thinking of adding either the 15’ or pair of 12’ subs if I need more thump. The reason for column array would be those events less than 100 or 125 where setup and teardown takes less time. I believe the weight of the Evolve 30 is around 34 pounds so considerable difference between the HK Polar 12, but that has also to do with the HK having a 12 inch sub vs the 10 in the Evolve.
@@LH-fh5kn ok. Sounds like you have options. HK also makes a 10 and an 8”
Good tips…😎
Thanks
Hi do u know how pair both speakers through Bluetooth thanks. 😊
I will do a video on it shortly. Connecting to one speaker through Bluetooth is pretty easy, I’ll try two
I thought you had to connect to one via Bluetooth, and simply link the second column with an XLR cable?
U can connect both through Bluetooth, on Bluetooth settings, thanks bud.
@@AA-uj5bg Cool, good to know. I only have one column. I suspect you wouldn't get a true stereo signal with the cable link anyhow.🤔
Awesome review. Finally found a affordable replacement for my 6yr old Mackie ProDX 8. Battery powered is a plus. Thanks again.
Hopefully it lasts as long as your ProDX . Cheers
Hey Aaron. Have you tried Skaa audio to wirelessly transmit audio to the speakers? I highly recommend.
I haven’t. I do have an Alto stealth UHF system. Also works great. Is the Skaa UHF?
@@aaronthedj12 I’ve practically tried them all trying to find a robust wireless system. Alto Stealth, too many drop outs. Xvive, short range and not a long battery. The Skaa system is neither wifi or Bluetooth. I think it’s a hybrid cell signal, much like the Wave8. Huge distance and long battery life, 10+ hours. The Dani transmitter and the Streetheart receiver. Under 17 ms transmit time in pro mode. I use these for ceremonies, they are bullet proof. Like you, I’m in Calgary.
@BoydEntYYC actually, we've met once. I just checked out the Skaa. Very nice unit. Great design and functional. The only reason I wouldn't run it is that its 2.4ghz frequency. I can change the frequency on the alto to a clear channel. Over 16 I believe, plus it's UHF. Less chance of a drop out and well over double the range of a digital 2.4 or 5ghz frequency. One day I'll make a video of my wireless system and show the range
Would it power a wireless microphone?
No.
I really wanted to get the DDJ-800. It had everything I wanted. Smaller footprint, 2 mic channels with 2 band eq and an aux input with xlr outs. But I wanted to get something that would work with VDJ and DJ Pro and those options are extremely limited and the DDJ-800 wasn't one of them so I ended up ordering a Rane One. I still might order an 800 lol
I’ll be doing another video on the 800 soon. I’ll show compatibility and what doesn’t work with it. Thx for watching
Congratulations on your acquisition
Thank you. These are hard to find and I missed the original release. I had friends use them and really liked the 800. Appreciate you watching
Looks pretty cool! Are you going to have to send it back to get it repaired or replaced?
get a 12 inch skin asap!!! Im upset pioneer used that material on the top of most of their new controllers. FLX 10 owner over here, and the finger prints just gets tooo insane. Congrats on your new set, i hope you have lots of fun with it!
Great advice! I didn’t realize how bad the finger prints were until I checked it yesterday after my last gig. Thanks for watching

@@aaronthedj12 💕✌✌👍
For what you get, these look like an absolute bargain. I haven't heard them but what a nice footprint. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I was sceptical about these. At that price point they seemed too good to be true. Found a place 2 hours away that had them to test and drove there today. Compared them with LD Maui 11 G3 which I was also looking at. Thought these sounded better. Much more low end and tighter, better mids. Played a range of stuff and was impressed. Ended up buying 2. They are probably surplus to my needs but nice to know I’ve headroom there if needed. It’s a tidy package with the cases and all included and a 5 year warranty to boot. My only gripe so far is not being able to pair both speakers to Bluetooth at the same time in stereo. Maybe you can do this but I haven’t figured it out yet and the manual is pretty ambiguous in this regard. Looking forward to giving them a good spin but very happy with them so far. I found researching these speakers particularly hard, there was a lot of opinions (likely from people who never heard them) saying they are just cheap Chinese speakers rebranded and because of this they are bad. A rep from HK confirmed in their facebook group that these are designed in their HQ in Germany and manufactured in China to keep costs down. They’ve been transparent about this and the label says built in China like countless other brands do also so as to keep costs down and transfer that value to the customer. “Made in China” ain’t what it used to be and certainly is not inferior quality. China have some of the most sophisticated production facilities in the world at the min. It’s like the whole USA Fender vs Japanese Fender that happened in the 80’s and 90’s. I’ve owned both and I’d take the Japanese ones over the variable quality of the USA ones any day. Anyway if you get a chance go hear them for yourself and make your own mind up.
Nice Vid! Keep up the great work!
Thanks! appreciate you watching !

Is this louder than a rcf evox j8?
No. On paper, The RCF is 128db , the HK claims 127. Even though it’s close in DB numbers, the RCF has 2 more drivers in the column, runs at 700 watts rms, vs 500 watts in the HK. Less drivers, less power, less volume. The RCF, costs 40% more money. So, bang for the buck, definitely goes to HK. It’s a better value, in my opinion
