My first trip was on a channel airways viscount from Southend too oostende .
I used to fly a lot in and out of Heathrow between 1958 and 1968. Brings back memories.

Superb stuff . Never seen so many Vanguards together as in the opening shots . Loved the Cambrian Viscount towards the end . Is that the Channel Islands ? I remember the BEA Tristar as it visited Glasgow September 1972
The scenes with the Viscount and Herald looked very muck like Jersey airport

Brought back memories of LHR 1965-1973 when I used to visit regularly. The good old days when you could sit around the perimeter road and just watch the aircraft. Fairoaks at 13:00! L-1011 at Farnborough 1972.
Joined the airline industry direct from High School in 1971 at sixteen years. Worked hard and had a very successful career. Travelled the world and flew on most of the aircraft from Bac 1-11/ 707/Super VC-10 to Concorde. Excellent airport aviation cine film and brings back nostalgia seeing all the Caravelles, Vanguard's and Comet 4B. First flight, British Eagle in October 1968 from London Heathrow to Glasgow, Prestwick. Excellent service and meals on board. 🏴🇬🇧🛫

Amazing to think that in the 1960s there were no widebody aircraft with the largest planes been the b707 and dc8 operating trans atlantic, from 69 the b747 came along and then the dc10, l1011, a300 from early, mid 70s
L-1011 could it be 1972? The first fatal accident of the aircraft was EA401 on 27dec in to MIA.
The good old days. Viewing from the Queens Building. Remember it well. Use to be a day trip from Kingston upon Thames at least once a month.

Very cool stuff, hopefully someone can slow it down and sharpen it back up for clarity in the future, this stuff is worth historical gold.
That’s what I did for a living, unfortunately the quality of captured Cine film will only be as good as the cine film itself, unless it’s done frame by frame (40k to 60k frames per hour)

Yes memories oh memories, remember trident after trident stacked up and thinking god not another one, certainly love to see them again, i miss them so much inc the S/1-11's Viscount / Vanguard/ Caravelles /Dc9's, ll really.
