Vee, I know I am very late and you were only praising the first few episodes but could you do the whole anime review or specifically Episode 11 later? It hit me to my core ever since the end of Frieren. And possibly the best anime episode I have ever watched since Vinland Saga season 2 ep 9. I was watching the series without paying much attention and then episode 11 makes me rewatch the entire previous 10 episodes to appreciate the things you saw.

I find it funny I got 2 of my friends, who don’t like anime in general, kind of hooked on the series after telling them its basically power rangers if they where the seven and then binging the entire anime in one night. Now they’re asking when season 2 is coming out

I can't believe this is written by the author of Quintessential Quintuplets - Haruba Negi. Sometimes I think he likes a team of 5 (5 quints... 5 rangers) and his favorite color is green (Yotsuba as winning quints, emphasis on green batallion) and favorite number is 4 (again, yotsuba as winning quint; and foot soldier D, the 4th letter)

I was about to wave off this season and only bother watching the sequel seasons to shows I was already watching. I'll give this one a try, since I love excellent animation.

Danmachi was what go me into anime way back when I was like 13, watching Wistoria brought me back to that feeling of pure enjoyment. Taking all the things I like about it, remixing it and then having none of the things that Ive grown to find more distasteful. I went from crying watching Will’s little backstory with Elfie, to pumping my fist in excitement at the action.

This isn’t for everyone, but I like how the sides are not exactly black and white. As D’s perspective on the world grows and complexifies, so does his goals and what he deems right and wrong. He sees how he and his views aren’t respected by both the Dragon Keepers and the Executives, so he rejects both and chooses his own path. As much as people say the story lacks action (and being honest it kinda does), I’m really digging the internal conflicts happening.

This shit just so happens to match my tastes. Some guy with no powers at all just does awesome stuff! I dont want no op stuff or rags to riches! This! Powerlessness, hopelessness this embodies my life perfectly ! But with no hopes or dreams​

Go Go Loser Ranger or RR (Ranger Reject) avoided a mistake many subversive stories like this fall into where the Good guys faction is actually bad and the bag guy faction is actually good, it doesn't fall into the whole reversing the black and white nature of the original source material they're referencing. Regardless of their species, faction, alignment or beliefs each character is grey, from the idealistic fool thriving for a perfect world to the dirty and horrible psycho using all in their power to manipulate everyone around them, The rangers has horrible and some of the most deprived people among their ranks, even up to the level of their leaders the dragon keepers and the invader faction isn't freed from this as well, they have cowards that let fate control them and stagnate, never wanting to get a better live, truly twisted members among them, the ones who have doubts about reality and such, even the commanders have different aspects to their character although they do mostly remain on the villainous side with them wanting to conquer earth, but D does represent to thesis of what this story is writing, as someone who's twisted, conniving, cunning, and plays dirty using the mask of an ideological idiot, slowly transforming the image of his mask into a leader who will do everything in his power to complete the mission, a surprisingly charismatic one but still a piece of shit in how he fights, although most people in this series do fight in an underhanded way which explains why the person D is impersonating never got far in his life as a ranger, he was ripped right out of a sentai, someone who would be an idealistic sentai member, yet he's not one, in fact he's considered a failure I am very much looking forward to what kind of stories this world will continue to bring us

even with 5-toubun, Negi showed their skill in dropping hints and clues to the story as it goes on, as well as amazing character writing glad to see that has not disappeared, only improved with Ranger Reject.

A bit late here but I really enjoyed this episode. Also I love the title. I didn't expect to see Curtis LeMay here.(I am more Bomber Harris fan). A few corrections for Animarchy here. Disney only got the exclusive streaming rights in the west. They are not in the production committee like Netflix. Also because of Disney's lack of marketing and simulcast broadcast, a lot of people in the west didn't know about it when it was aired. It was popular only because Southeast Asian audiences and hardcore anime fans who pirated it weekly recommend it. Despite being locked in Disney jail, it was highly acclaimed within seasonal anime watchers and got some awards in Anime Trending Awards. -Anime of the Year(second place) (Beaten by Boochi the Rock) -Boy of the Year - Shinpei -Best supporting girl - Hizuru -Best voice actor - Natsuki Hanae (Shinpei VA) -Best Supernatural Anime -Best Mystery or Psychological Anime.

Great, what is the problem? Also, good anime labs is gone. We never had anything that just showed anime in America. Cartoon Network might’ve had to Nami, but it always sucked.
