Alaskan Ambiance is based in Fairbanks, Alaska. We hope to bring you some unique experiences not seen on other channels. These include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, skijoring, dog mushing, outdoor fires, and gatherings of friends and family. We hope you enjoy these experiences from afar as much as we did having them here.

Take a mid-winter, midday snowshoe walk through the spruce forest of interior Alaska. It is -21F near Fairbanks, Alaska. Hear the ambient sound of a cold winter in the far north. You mostly hear the rhythmic sound of snowshoes on snow but there are some sounds of redpolls, grouse, and red squirrels. This was recorded at solar noon so that is as high as the sun will get today.
