I do not care about the USC players other than Juju. I would make a concerted effort to keep her from driving. Try to steal the ball from a quick double team. Make another player beat you. Force Juju to take semi contested 3's. I would put a smaller Aaliyah Guyton on Juju when she is in the game. The smaller point guards for ND frustrated Juju. Constantly attacker her dribble.

You have to beat USC the way Notre Dame beat them. Juju cannot go side to side. She is straight down heel dribbler. She is a very upright dribbler. ND constantly went after her dribble and frustrated her. She was on the floor fighting for her ball 5+ times. You cannot allow her to just shoot easy inside layups. The refs will call a foul 100% of the time against the defense. She gets all calls to the basket. When Juju goes towards the goal her defender needs to be in front and another defender needs to come from behind and knocked the ball away.

I have been done this whole season. I refuse to waste my time to even watch this product on TV. And Im as big of a fan as there is for Iowa sports. The complete lack of D and Rebounding is absolutely embarrassing. The effort isnt there and Fran doesnt even try to work on it and get better. Even when they have been good Fran has lost games they had no business losing. Choked in the big 10 and NCAA tournament and has had teams fade at the end of seasons 3 out of every 5 years.

I love love Stremlow and you said she didn’t have a deer in the headlight moment. BUT, she still gets the ball and is ONLY looking to pass on nearly every touch. When i coached youth basketball I always taught triple threat when you get the ball. Her position at the top of the key just standing upright can only be a pass. Today, her defenders gave her a courtesy 3 feet to make a pass. Most teams will get right in her grill to get a turnover from her. As a former coach i cringe to see a player just stand upright holding the ball like that, for several seconds. Cause the defense knows she will not dribble or drive from that position.

The Kylie criticism is a bit much. When she has a good game, say so. She IS the best backcourt defender we have and does get the biggest backcourt defensive assignment. Without scoring she is still earning her playing time and is fun to watch. Right now, we have no other player that does what she does overall.

Ava’s goal should now be the portal. I want to see her develop and maybe thats on another team. She can easily be a starter or major playing time on another team. Also Layla Hays is coming next year.

I do get tired of these various sports play by play broadcasters continue to state that McCabe is Iowa's big 3 point shooter. She lacks consistency. Maybe in practice she is hitting them but last night I believe she went 0 for 3. And Heiden needs to play more.

Keegan is intimidated period. She's not ready to attack the rim . That's fine she needs to sit until she can handle it but at the same time her coaches can't see that ? She's physically capable of handling other players but it boils down to confidence .

Ava can't finish around the rim ! Anybody paying attention to that ! Addy is doing a very good job in the low post . She has added a nice jumper about 8-10 ft out. Can she deal with Betts down low . It depends on her attitude that game . Stulke needs to beat Betts down the floor often to tire her out and get a shot at the rim before Betts sets up.

Jan is going to run Ava right out of Iowa City with continuing to not play her in games......which is just beyond stupid at this point!!

Guyton is a very good 3pt shooter (she isn't the best) however the other things she does brings more than our best 3Pt shooter does....

At least 6 turnovers on awful post feeds that had no chance of getting to O'Grady. Why they feel the need to force the ball into the post early in the shot clock is a head scratcher. Guyton continues to impress on both ends. She needs to be encouraged to get more shots up.

Kyle against Indiana Hannah had 5 pts, 3 rebounds in 23 mins., how are you coming up the stats you are for Hannah the last three games. I think Ava could play the 4!

Owen Freeman had 13 points on the first half. He’s fine (offensively). He had greatly reduced playing time in the 2nd half and that’s why he finished with just 1 point in the 2nd half. He should be playing 30 minutes at a minimum. However, Fran said to Bobby after the game that ‘Owen gets tired and he’s going through a of things’, whatever that means.

This team is so hard to watch. They don't defend, they don't rebound, the can't make free throws... other than chuck up a bunch of 3's, I'm not sure what they do well.

I don't see this team winning two more games. As tough as that will be to watch, not making the BTT (no chance this team makes the NCAA or the runner up Crown tournament) is what needs to happen to get Fran out. I don't care about his incoming recruiting class--seen enough of this clown show the past 15 years. It's reasonable to expect Freeman and Dix to explore portal opportunities after this debacle of a season. Neither are going to reach their potential playing for Fran with such a poor supporting cast. Kingsbury and Pryce need more PT. Getting next to nothing out of Harding , Sandfort, and Dix is struggling.

I would love to see BJ As head coach here at iowa, but I have three reasons why that might not be a good idea 1.Chris Millin 59-73 St. john's 2. Clyde Drexler 19-39 houston 3. Patrick Ewing 75-109 georgetown. It didn't work out for these guys, but might not be a good reason, not to look at BJ Armstrong

I'm glad I have outgrown being a crazy I want it right now, fan. We score more than anybody last 10 years. Think about that. We play good basketball. This dude and the guys we have already recruited, I think Fran is changing whobge is looking at. Just a little more athletic.... we need it. Our guys have to put out maximum effort and we need to be perfect. We need some more guys that are athletic.
