The oil flap is left open to assist with cooling. I flew a Shark in Slovakia and was told about this issue.

Yes, it was in Senica. No engine modification. It’s okay to do some medium aerobatic provided you maintain positive G all times. No engine cough up and no nasty cowling afterward.
