Bristol Feeder Canal Fishing. 4 hours on the Bread . 6 Metres out. Over 50lb of Bream
Is it free fishing ?
The sound of that 440A is great. Fantastic stretch of water you have there.
A lovely video. Thanks so much for sharing. How big do the roach go in the Bristol Avon?
Great fishing D ! I remember bagging up on small fish with you and M.H in the winter opposite there years ago !!
Thanks for watching.
This video put a big old smile on my face as i only live 5 mins from this stretch. I spent so many years fishing around Limpley Stoke, Bridgewater, chew magna, ect, that i have often overlooked what's on my doorstep. GREAT STUFF 👍🏻 (Is the story true about the old board mill having to manufacture around very high tides because of the salinity when they extracted water from the river) ?
not sure about that . I do remember the water full of pulp from the mill and loads of oil from butlers at crews hole and the line use to stick to the rings. thanks for watching
Nice catch, where on the Avon is that? is it near the boardmill/ conham vale stretch?
yes, bottom end you can park in co-op for free
@@bristolavonfishing3496 ok cool thanks for this!! so is it closer to feeder road end or towards Hanham
@MrTone41 Feeder rd (If you Google co-op st Anne's, and press the direction button, it shows a map that includes the river)
I need some help everytime I go float fishing I can't catch barely anything Any tips?
Hi Im new to St Annes and a keen angler. Looking to fish opposite crews hole . Best methods please and baits.. How deep is too? Thank you
Fished there a few times but never caught anything over 4 to 6 ounces. Whats the secret to catching the bigger ones?
Hi, after a 2 or 3 balls of ground bait i feed a small ball of liquidised bread ever other cast, this usually keeps the smaller fish in the up in the water leaving the bigger fish to feed at depth. Thanks for asking
@@bristolavonfishing3496 Many thanks for this. Will give it a try as never used bread there 👍👍
Lovely fish mate !
Thanks 👍
Are you using the titan 1000 rod ?
Hi ,Avenger 1000 rod with normark 2ft ext. slightly more power for the lumps
A very good watch. What make and strength of your reel line?
hi, the line was some old 3lb Drennan Float. When reels not in use the stored in a dry dark place so my lines last for years
lovely fishing
Many many thanks
we used to fish matches along conham and park at technigraphic . there were loads of big dace shoals there back in the 80s and 90s.
The big Dace shoals are gone Mate. Best i have done in the last few years for Dace is about 18lb on the stick .Roach are plenty with 25lb+ common.

Follow Crews Hole road to bend . Free. Conham River Car Park at end Open Dusk to Dawn . Get there early on weekends as can get busy with dog walkers cars
Do the closed season laws (15 March to 15 June) not apply to that stretch of the canal?
open all year .Part of Bristol Docks.
Good video nice fish good quality but a little more on bait etc would of helped over all but I liked it
No point in making a video unless u show and explain what you are doing, editing the bites just made me give a thumb down, sorry
Good video but edited the 1st bite, ???
Thanks for your comments. Its a bit of a learning curve this camera lark. Probably born 50 years to early.😊
