Replacing broken Fishman Preamp on Ibanez Acoustic/Electric Guitar
Переглядів 6946 місяців тому
the faceplate on the stock Fishman SST preamp broke on my Ibanez AEL20E. I actually really like the guitar, so I chose to fit another Fishman preamp and also add a different preamp so I would have full functionality again.
Hung Start on the Turbojet Kart
Переглядів 4527 місяців тому
had a hung start possibly from not enough air pressure then I made a HUGE mistake of killing the power, which killed the oil pressure instead of cutting off the propane. Mistakes were made, lessons were learned. Hopefully didn't do any lasting damage. We'll get the tanks filled and try again next weekend.

Mission: Brother's Graduation and Maryland

so, to start, I had to make it to the National Infantry Museum in Georgia for my brother's graduation ceremony. Then boogie across Georgia between Atlanta and Macon, then through South Carolina and stay the night in North Carolina. Head towards my grandparents in my hometown, Hollywood, Maryland. Spent some time with friends and hit the backroads of Southern Maryland. Had some adventures in Sol...

@@JacksonDawkins-cl6jy lol, I know, but when I'm constantly on the run, I don't have time/money for the good stuff
Permatex, seals anything.
You could put a variable pressure regulator in and just run a return to the tank. That way the pump is at full noise
@@jamesgrover760 yeah, that's how I have the oil system and fuel system set up for the engine. May have to do the same for the afterburner.
Hi I've got pretty much the inverse problem--my Fishman electronics/controls are all gummed up and the faceplate is still intact. Would you be open to sending your broken one to me?
@@KyleFalconer1 ive got to dig around and see if I still it. Im pretty sure I do, but I have to find it
I just saw this thing in the back of your truck in traffic. Definitely badass.

take that shit off the back of ur truck ☠️
Ohhhh it’s turbine powered that makes sense. Saw you in traffic today, had to come subscribe 🎉
@@CarFemme were you in a green lotus?
@@rocketman_mike yes!
Riding behind you at the moment! That thing is sick!!
@@jameshassell6084 it needs some more work and haven't had time to mess with it lately. But hopefully soon get it fixed and running again
I had the same issue with my SST face plate. The holes had worn through. I just found 4 small black washers and put 1 under each set screw on top of the plate and it seems to be working. It's a quick fix until a new cover plate comes available. There are web sites with 3 printed covers available also.
Get er done!
Thanks, I have the same problem. A 12 string Ibanez I just bought. Basically the same problem. Apparently that SST system is the worst system ever in the world. The way they cut it like you mentioned. And as I can see. It’s hard to find replacement that would fit perfect. I don’t wanna do what you didn’t make another hole.especially for a cheap pick up. But if I do find a solution, I’m gonna let you know. Thanks for being the guinea pig.
That's crazy
That's hott
Yo I just saw u in Rockledge Florida I waved at u on the road

Making it look easy!
Why didnt you have thrust vectoring?
Would add a lot of extra weight and also pretty complex, however I have a friend working on a design for some of his projects. Maybe we can incorporate one for this later
I bet the neighbors LOVE that!
No complaints......yet

Nice!
looks like there is definitely some unburnt fuel getting out the back, unless thats the point then carry on but it sounds amazing, keep it up
Testing some larger fuel nozzles. Went from 4.5 gph to 15.3 gph nozzles
how in the hell does someone with a build like this have only 500 subscribers

I seen your jet kart at the Orlando speedway night off fire
That was such a good show. A lot of new track records
Going to refill the air tanks, recharge the battery and top off the oil and see if I can get her fired up this coming weekend. Also might be picking up a massive turbo next weekend so I can get busy trying to break the world record
I just saw that thing on your truck in moncello

Is that all rust? Or is it silicone gasket?
It had a lot of rust in the system, but it also blocked up with red hi-temp rtv. I was told the engine had been recently been rebuilt, but always ran hot. After I replaced everything but the water pump, which seemed to be working, I pulled the heads because I had my suspicion the ports were blocked

Was behind you on eau gallie, turn that thing on while it’s strapped down in your truck on 95. Get up to jaxs in 20 minutes
Hahaha, wish I could just flip a switch and hit a button to start it. Its still a two man, 10 prayer job to start it....for now. Afterburner is almost done, then we'll get a real nice fire show 🔥
Passed by you on 95. Gave you my sub. Instead of getting ramps to unload it from the back of your truck probably should get one of those little harbor freight trailers. Will be way easier to load and unload from and all you have to do is disconnect the trailer from your truck to store it. Keep tinkering and be safe. If the engine is made out of steel, perform safety inspections before, and after test runs.
I want to get a nice 12 or 14 foot trailer, but I don't have a place to keep one right now.
This current combustion chamber is steel and is starting to show signs of rust pitting. Im not a fan of how this one is designed, but the next one will be stainless and have better air flow
You caught me at the end inspecting the kart lol
Nice to meet you today!
Hey, it was my pleasure!!!
Hi everyone. This is my neighbor. To summarize: _My neighbor has a jet engine in the bed of his pickup truck._ That may seem like a negative quality to some, (not me). Definitely takes the heat off me and my drones :-) /message ends _ps-_ fooking outstanding, Sir!
Freakin sounds like a jet 👌🏽👌🏽
Fabulous, well done. It runs beautifully. I take it the pressure cylinder next to the propane bottle is CO2 for starting? Ah ok, edit, it isn't! I've just seen you using a leafblower.
We found out that the electric leaf blower didn't quite have the power to spool it up enough, so I hooked up a compressed air tank to get us up to idle speeds. We started it with propane and tried transitioning to diesel, but I don't think I had enough fuel pressure set before I killed the propane and the whole engine shut off. Trial by fire.
@@rocketman_mike Indeed. Excellent stuff. You are at the end of a path that I am just setting out on. I had thought of using compressed air start, from air stored in a bottle.
The compressed air impingement start works very well and it only costs me $6 to refill the tank. Haven't found out how many starts I can get from one fill yet.
@@rocketman_mike Thank you for the useful information. The next time I post a video on my channel I will give you a mention.
Very interesting. My name is Carl, I am from the UK. I found your posts on the Jet and Turbine Owners forum and made my way to your channel. I also have a you tube channel. My primary workshop project at the moment is my milling machine restoration. However, I also have a very long held interest in rocket engines and gas turbines. I have decided to go down the turbocharger to gas turbine conversion route as well. So far I have one introductory video posted. My first attempt will be a stationary engine to prove the concept, not a power plant for a go-cart like yours will be. In time though I'd like to refine things and move towards a liquid fuel system and possibly some sort of free turbine/turboshaft arrangement. I thought your film was excellent, a very good explanation of afterburners and particularly the flame holding needed to make them work correctly. I've subscribed to you and look forward to more posts in the future as your project progresses. Good luck, Carl.
LET'S GO MIKEEEE!!!
