Cats & Starlight Express need more representation in the animation department, so excellent job, my friend. Personally, I only heard this song in particular for the first time today, but I never interpreted the train like this. I interpreted it more as a human train which just happened to be cat-friendly in one of its cars, but yours is quite a good interpretation as well

These are some really cute animations, especially the ones with the cat waitress and goat, whom I've seen you pair together in some of your art on other sites. Sure'd like to see a full video about them. Also REALLY loved that little clip at 0:55 where the goat gets his sleeves stuck in the door, it was hilarious! XD Reminded me of that episode from SpongeBob Squarepants where SpongeBob and Squidward got fused together in one of Sandy's teleportation pods and later had a moment similar to this. Keep up the good work!

This is my favorite animatic EVER. I fell in love with it the first time I watched it. We need a whole cats feature film in this style, not the creepy stuff they gave us.

I do hope you finish this someday, or find an animator and artist you trust to do it. I always imagined Cats woukd make a perfect animated film (much nicer than the "live-action" remake anyways). You did well here!

Honestly this proves animation would be a fun and unique way to illustrate the stories, keep the music close to broadway, and not have it be to weird or distracting as a live action. You did a great job and honestly, could see this being a series. Each episode you learn about a new cat while also slowly understanding who mccavity is. Leading to the last few numbers in the final episode

The train taking off into space honestly made me smile, it’s suck a fun idea that SCREAMS old cartoons, where stuff would randomly happen, but it didn’t matter, it was for the joy of spectacle! This was AWESOME

I like the idea that during this musical number all the cats got a restful night's sleep in the sleeping car. They all sang their parts in their dreams!

I love how you used staging and lighting (especially the spotlights) in this one. This animatic is just so fun and expressive.

There was plans in the 90s to make an animated Cats movie by Amblin and would’ve had the cast of the musical return. It was cancelled after Amblin shut down. If it had been made like this it would’ve been amazing

I think Cats the Movie would've been received much better if they approached it as an animated film. 2D or 3D animation, with voice actors who are familiar with musical structure and Cats specifically so they don't go all arseways improvising, and no weird cuts in the middle of songs and all that. If it was just animation and the script of the musical, I think it would've been phenomenal and this video proves it! Thank you for giving us the Cats film that we wanted
