Why would they have to abandon their world and flee from pre FTL humans who couldn't reach them? The correct response would be to set up sensors throughout their star system and in the space between there and Earth, along with monitoring devices in Sol System to provide ample advanced warning should the humans ever develop FTL and then use it to head for the alien'shome world. In the meantime, they should also develop defenses for their star system and world. Really, that evacuation just doesn't make any sense. By the way, the title and pix on UA-cam have absolutely nothing to do with this story. What's with that? I can't think of any reason to pull a bait and switch, so I guess the poster made a mistake. Oh, no! Not a mistake! Oh, the horror of it! Many people, myself included, go through life with a built-in musical earworm gadget. I also have a built-in humor earworm gadget, and yes, it does get annoying at times.
