    OMG, I'm going to try that first thing tomorrow in the Laboratory (said in my best Boris Karloff voice), sometimes known as the craft room. Is that just regular watercolor paper?

    What tissue paper and glue do you use?

    • @lindabrownartist
      @lindabrownartist Місяць тому

      The tissue paper is the type bought to wrap gifts, often found in newsagents or variety stores. I use white gesso as the ‘glue’ - be generous.

    So many aspects about your paintings that I love! I'm a Huge tree fan, your colour pallettes are right up my street, and 'knotty, gnarly' types of trees are my favourite. Do you use granulation medium to increase the granulation, or do you just rely on the characteristics of the medium? How do you mount your paintings? I saw one in a plastic envelope, but do you use cradled board or frames for the finished product? And, final question, what type of varnish do you use if you mount them on boards? Thanks 👍

    • @lindabrownartist
      @lindabrownartist 2 місяці тому

      Thank you! I sometimes use granulating medium to increase the granulation, but not always. I mostly frame my works with a mount and behind glass. However I have done this technique on canvas and board, and I use a few coats of acrylic spray varnish followed by acrylic Matt paint on varnish.

    If you used a darker pencil for the drawing part of the tutorial it would be visible to viewers and help our drawing skills. Also a brighter light would help.

    Hi Linda. This is Aditi Ray from India. I stumbled upon your channel and loved it. I am self taught and like to dabble with different mediums. I have tried this one as well as your witching tree. My paintings are coming out either too washed or too dark. I would be obliged if you could guide me how to understand what is optimum … Regards.
