The layers -- is that a sponge like paper ? What is that for ?
Hello! Yes, one layer is sponge like and another is some kind of moister absorber cardboard, then the tissue like paper. I think the cardboard moister absorbent layer is the key to pressing the flowers without them rotting or loosing their color as much. I hope this helps 😉
You inner parts of the press area sponge paper ? Card stock and tissue paper ?
Hello, yes… first you lay down a hard cover then it’s the sponge, then you put the flowers facing down on the sponge. Then it’s a tissue like paper (it should be tissue that doesn’t have a plastic like coating. The coating won’t let the moister escape). On top of the paper come a cardboard moister extracting layer. After you are done with all the layers , you top it off with the hard cover.

Why would a craft store stop selling craft supplies??? So weird! I don't have a Hobby Lobby near me, but I've stopped shopping at brick-and-mortar stores because they just don't have that great of a selection anymore.
Unfortunately, they are not selling crafting supplies as much as they need to or maybe not as fast. Online shopping is reining supreme over crafters, causing them to slowly close departments 😔
I've noticed that Michael's doesn't have much in the paper crafting section these days either. I don't shop at Hobby Lobby, but it sounds like you discovered some interesting tidbits about what is happening there. Have fun with your new goodies... I can't wait to see what you are going to create with them!
