I think Xianyun's Talent would be very useful in this deck, alot of swapping around and a good opportunity to snipe a character with her enhanced NA damage using Anemo Res potentially.

I played against a Cyno overload deck for the first time today and lost pretty badly. I already knew that it was very op, but it was even crazier than expected! Do you think they will somehow nerf it in the next patch or do you think it’s already balanced enough?

Hoyoverse absolutely does not care for game's ballance. They are clearly completely oblivious to this. As they keep releasing overpowered nonsenses which they have to nerf later. It is happening constantly.... with character I want to play the most (Noelle) having less and less chances to be viable. :( Now when Navia came, I am using some of the copium that Noelle and Geo Resonance are still in the game somehow. <3

This deck could be seen a lot in the next patch since it doesnt run overpowered card like treasure to generate dice but instead use the provided 8 dices efficiently

08:06 pretty sure this is a misplay here. The talent gives +2 damage if you have no cards, so you could have tuned for +2 damage and won the game then and there

the only 3 characters i need to win. fishl, noelle and diluc. most games, i start by spawning oz and afterward, noelle can deal with everything else. other times, i start with noelle and genuinely never swap her unless forced (because of overload damage, for exemple). there are times where fishil and diluc deal with the opposition without any need for noelle. very rarely do i need all 3 to pull their weight. with overload, diluc's burst is a 1 shot kill on whoever get hit. meanwhile, once noelle's burst is activated, every enemies get killed in 2 hits (unless a shield is used). with her weapon, relic and artefact equip, my noelle swipe all she face. any health problem she face are generaly solved by using food.

This sounds so much like YGO video lol So many nerfs and none of my favorites ever get buffs (Albedo and Kaeya). I stoppped playing back when they nerfed Maguu Kenki just as I started using it against NPCs, that kind of killed it for me.

Yes the reason you can have cards like pot of greed is because of dice cost but they have basically nerfed dice cost into oblivion almost everything cost 0 dice by the second turn quicker if you get good draws and the dice generation is crazy now. Remember when paimon was the best dice generation card.

I randomly signed up for the recent wild card qualifier on a whim. I didn’t look up meta for fun and because people seemed to be divided on what meta even looked like. I went in with the best decks I could cook with my two brain cells. (Read: not good) My one opponent had Yelan OTK, Razor OTK and some stall variant as their 3 decks though I didn’t know those archetypes at the time. I banned the stall deck and yolo’d. Man facing the boar princess and underwater treasure engines for the first time were a wake up call that soured me on ever playing competitive GITCG again. I have no interest in playing against players when those engines exist because it all feels so pointless. Why try to be thoughtful with your 8 dice and strategize if the other guy will just have +20 dice in a single turn? And it’s not even like these engines are inconsistent or easy to stop. It’s built out of tutors and cheap draw spells. Good luck to anyone who enjoys PvP in GITCG. I hope they make it more enjoyable for you.

Gilded dreams isn't even the problem anymore. I've gotten to the point where I don't even run the card in my magic decks because there's cards with similar effects that are much easier to deploy early. Heck, the yayoi nerf wasn't even impactful. Immediately after the announcement of the incoming nerf, I tested replacing yayoi package with mao 2 nsc and an MMR and my winrate drastically increased. The reason resonance decks have fallen off is that before, they had a monopoly on wovens, but in exchange you pay a deckbuilding cost to gain access. Now every deck has so many wovens available for free that that's no longer needed. The *other* issue is that decks have so much draw, which combined with said wovens means that the best ramp now is always just drawing more cards. Seelie is now just as dice positive as big paimon, but with no major downtime caused by sinking 3 dice into a card with no immediate effect. Heart of khavernah and boar princess are by far the biggest offenders, but with the addition of bonecrunch, even they may be passed by.

Buffing rainbow when rainbow is already dominant is a bit of an odd design choice. I fully expected something like this to happen, although I expected it to be more on the paimon-style side of things. Invokation has bizarre design, where because characters have to be made to feel related to their Genshin incarnations, there's no room for characters to have synergies with specific decks - cards can have synergy with characters, but characters can only have synergy with other characters. This means that there are no characters who are strongly unable to use any given card, and with the game starting out already quite search-heavy, that was always going to result in the best engines being used everywhere. It was only a matter of time before the best engines meant high search power and dice generation. If you wanted to fix this properly, the way it would have to be done would be by making characters directly relate to the contents of a deck. For example, maybe Arlecchino can't be equipped with artifacts, thereby incentivising a more weapon-focused deck. The other option would just be to accept that this best engine is simply how the game works now, and focus on ensuring there's still a good diversity of characters even when the decks behind them are similar.

This TCG update has finally made me quit the TCG. I can't take it anymore.

Ah so it's now a regular TCG. And no longer a genshin meme. That being it's not full of ways for players to sweat there balls off and a mass disparity between top strategys. Man it's almost like this is a card game and that's what happens in card games. Pretty sure hoyo design team stopped caring and IRL TCG sweats got ahold of this game killing it for everyone. If u not about that life. My advice. Just walk away because it's NEVER going to change

*TL;DR: I rambled a bunch about Pokémon decks but I think the GITCG should either have people deck out to mitigate milling or retroactively implement rules like Supporters and Items in Pokémon. I don’t think the meta has ever really lasted long enough for people to deck out, but it would be a start.** Since the majority of my TCG knowledge is Pokémon, I thought about some ideas that could serve as a basis for possible GITCG changes. The game doesn’t last long enough for this to be a viable fix as of now, but a mechanic where you automatically lose if you can’t draw a card at the end of your turn might help a little. End Phase drawing makes it a little tricky to decide when to call the loss though. I was thinking about how Night March was a haha funny deck where you could set up Basic Pokémon with low cost attacks that could do insane amounts of damage (200+) and sweep your opponent at the risk of decking out via milling or having no Pokémon fielded after a KO. Of course, that was back around 2015 but Yanmega BREAK still made use of the Night March concept with sub carry Vesbiquen and Bee Revenge in the 2016 World Champs. More recently we have stuff like Radiant Greninja that lets you draw a card in exchange for discarding an energy and was used to help the Gardevoir EX engine snowball in endgame or the Solrock/Lunatone engine that can easily dish out 120+ damage per turn on Lunatone and sustain 270 a turn with Mewtwo VStar unless your opponent had aggressive bench sniping. But all of these decks still run the risk of decking out or have other disadvantages. Gardevoir EX requires a full evolution chain and takes 20 damage for every energy attached via its ability and Lunatone is easily KO’d like Night March carries while Mewtwo VStar is a two cost card and starts to crumble if your Solrocks get sniped and you can’t restore your energy sustain, both leading to death by a thousand cuts every time a Solrock is KO’d. GITCG has none of these and starts coming down to who goes first and who gets better RNG to draw every card they need and sweep on Round 3~. I think retroactively classifying cards like Pokémon may help. Only being able to play 1 Supporter per turn means you have to choose between disrupting your opponent with Boss’s Orders or drawing with Iono/N/whoever. Items have their own limitations. Ultra Ball requiring you to discard 2 cards, Capturing Aroma requiring a coin flip to determine what card you can draw. You also can’t play Supporter’s on Turn 1 which would prevent people from unloading an entire hand of Companion Cards when the match starts. The problem with this is that it cuts both ways and doesn’t really do anything to help Resonance decks. Anyways, I was just thinking about how much fun I have playing Ice Path FTW even though it’s 7 years old at this point and outclassed by other decks. (Also, the normal Alolan Ninetales theme deck shutting down EX and GX carries is funny to me)

Tbh, I only ever built decks in the beginning of the game. It was quite fun back then, when people still tried to figure out the game, but like with the original game, the meta was discovered pretty quickly and it didn't seem like they were trying to fix the cards that much. The only reason I was looking into TCG videos again was because despite all that, I still played the general challenges that didn't require you to play PvP, but with the Apep boss, I noticed for the first time, how outclassed these old decks are. It wasn't even possible to beat the guy and now I get why he casually did like 5 damage for one dice at times, because it seems the economy has been so bad that this is the genuine state of the game.
