Jesus said.Women are not allowed to preach the word of God.Revelation also says.Preachers and teachers will not read the bible right. But news they own words.
I am sorry but what democratic right do these have to influence and change our laws. Why is this bishop in here?
True. But the hereditary peers in the Lords are even more ridiculous. At least bishops represent someone.
Bishop Helen-Ann put her head above the parapet in calling for Justin Welby's resignation when the majority of her peers stayed silent. She should be considered for the position of Archbishop of Canterbury!
Good news from the Diocese of Newcastle and a very good speech by Bishop Helen-Ann.
Britain is a sectarian country yet they are quick to accuse other countries in similar situations.
ANGLICAN ORDERS ARE NULL AND VOID. THE C OF E IS A SCHISMATIC HERETICAL OUTFIT. NONE OF THEM ARE BISHOPS.

Anglican orders are invalid according to the RC Church, and women should not be ordained priests or bishops, anyway. The Orthodox church ordained women deaconesses in early times but found they preferred prayer. According to John Henry Cardinal Newman, there is nothing for women to do in the C of E since the dissolution of the monasteries.
How Shall They Hear? (I couldn't!) x
Not the football club lol😊
Another nail in the Anglican Church. Timothy 2:2.
😮
You're looking for 1 Timothy 2:12, but your heart's in the right place.
Let the homeless eat in your fancy restaurants and you go food banks your all disgusting
What a load of self entitled ponces
❤
The United Kingdom has an official state church, so it only makes sense that clerical leaders be included in the legislature right next to the judicial and secular leaders. It is such an important part of their polity that Sir Tony Blair did not officially convert to Catholicism until he was no longer prime minister. The PM plays a role in the governance of the Church of England, so Blair felt it necessary that the role be carried out by a member of the Church.
Sectarianism is ingrained, how do you think the situation in Northern Ireland prevailed for so long.
@@brendanwalsh9829 Sectarianism and establishmentarianism are not the same thing. One is a doctrine of the Church, but the other is a policy of the State.
@@roberthudson1959 I can assure you that it ticks all the boxes for sectarianism. A good example is northern Ireland, every British Government from 1921 to the mis 1980's bankrolled the Protestant sectarian Government of Northern Ireland knowing full well that Catholics could not get employment in almost all companies or the Public Sector. On Public Sector job applications one was asked about their religion. The same pertained to housing. I can assure you that the British Government would not have allowed Catholics do to Protestants what they allowed Protestant do to Catholics. Civil rights marchers were beaten off the streets by the Protestant RUC and B. Specials. Only when the IRA hijacked the cause were the British willing to listen..
@@brendanwalsh9829 The divide between the Protestants and Catholics is also racial. The Protestants tend to be Anglo-Irish, descended from the English ruling class. The Catholics are Gaelic, descended from those ruled by the English.
@@roberthudson1959 The Protestants were mainly Presbyterians imported from Scotland during the plantation of Ulster., some were ordinary peasants or soldiers who fought to subdue the Irish in order to re-distribute their (Catholic) land. Dispossession was a form of social control. An official State Church surely ticks all the boxes for sectarianism.
I am not church of England I am a B artist ,but I think having these clergy in the Lords always make sure of the Christian voice in a secular society.
❤
Keep out’ve it ya lipstick Lezzer self righteous double standard KAREN..
There are two countries in the world where clerics get automatic seats in the legislature. The UK is one, Iran is the other. Abolish this nonsense NOW.
No. Religious figures deserve a higher position
Bet u r atheist, besides UK is a Christian nation before any immigrant religion came over
Thank you.
These churches are so beautiful it would be a shame not to preserve them.
THE WOKE ENGLISH CHURCH
This doesn't seem right. Women cannot be priests or bishops. The Church of England has gone rogue from biblical teachings on ecclesiastical structure. What is next, a female Archbishop of Canterbury? The Anglican Communion will totally fracture more if this nonsense continues.
One of my favorite verses like you my friend I was set free over 30 yrs ago thank you for love and friendship i share with you because of Jesus bless you xxx
Thought-provoking as always Helen! Pray for our first Messy Church without you both tomorrow!
Congratulations, Bishop Helen-Ann! Wonderful!
Lol, females cannot be Bishops.
Thanks Dennis.
So wrong and against Gods word, the bible teaches that women can not have authority over men
It was Dr. Raphael Lemkin a human rights lawyer who in 1944 defined the term "genocide". He presented the genocide of Ukrainians perpetrated by Soviet Bolshevik communists in four stages. The Holodomor Genocide 1932 -33 (death by starvation of the Ukrainian peasantry), the extermination of the Ukrainian intelligentsia, the destruction of the Ukrainian Orthodox church its parishes and clergy and the mass deportations of ethic Ukrainians from the territory of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic to remote and extreme areas of the Soviet Union and Gulag concentration camps. With the suppression of the Ukrainian language, arts and culture Ukraine became a Russified soviet satellite republic. It was the Ukrainians who showed the greatest resistance to soviet communism demonstrated by the hundreds of peasant uprisings and dissident movements and as a consequence it was the Ukrainians who suffered the most repression during the Soviet Union's reign of terror which resulted in millions of deaths. Estimates go as high as ten million victims. This is not common knowledge in the UK for some strange reason. Not taught in British schools and not commemorated alongside other genocides of Holocaust Memorial Day. Britain in fact has refused to officially recognise the genocide of Ukrainians on several occasions.
Brilliant 😀
WELL DONE.
Bishop Christine is a wonderful speaker and a very special lady.
Joyous news Mark, it's a really wonderful appointment. God bless you and your family.

So good to hear this Saturday evening
Thank you for this - it was very special to feel close to my Diocese from my lockdown here in South Africa.
Thanks for doing this, Bishop Christine and colleagues.
I so get this Emma. I’m an avid kayaker and when I’m out on the inlet alone at my home in Deep Cove, Vancouver, it feels so spiritual. I consider Indian Arm my church when I’m away from my other home and church in the Newcastle Diocese. Btw, I’d be up for joining you when this pandemic is over and I can return to the UK! God Bless.
A woman priest? Lucifer is very happy that you're open! So is his abode for you if you don't stop this lunacy!!!
So welcome this Sunday morning
Beautiful message, thank you Bishop Christine. Praying for dear Lesley.
I've tried to email Newcastle Diocese but sadly the address on the website does not work. It's regarding my Christmas carol The Age Old Reason for Joy. ua-cam.com/video/lCGb1dD-tEw/v-deo.html&t
I grew up there on that estate, I escaped when I was 17 and never, ever went back.It was a hell hole. I am sure it has never changed. For me, my early life was one of terror, bullying, beating all because I was clever. Well Newbiggin Hall, keep it.
