Our vacation in Rabbit Island, Okunoshima 2016 (大久野島/兔仔島)
If you want an army of bunnies run to you, you should bring a big bag of rabbit peanuts and their fancy cabbages. Probably too many people fed them with carrots before, they are not really interested in it now.

Most people will stop at the 9th station summit 3756M and then hike down. But for us, it means incomplete. To achieve the highest point Kengamine Peak 3776M at the 10th station, we further took 2 more hours in the hike. Very good video. For the place you stayed at 8th station, how did you book it? You booked on your own or you jointed a tour group? Also, what is the timeline - what time you started and what you finished? It seems you didn't see the sunrise?
V Yu Hi, we organised everything ourselves while climbing the mountain. You can find more info on our 8th Station Hut here: tomoekan.com/calendar/ Website in Japanese only, must translate if you want to make reservation with them online (incl. meals). Check the availability first. You can also try to approach other huts on the way, more info here: www.garyjwolff.com/mt-fuji-mountain-huts.html It's best to start climbing before 11 am so you have plenty of time to rest, take pictures and enjoy the views on the way before sunset. If you want to observe sunrise at the top you probably need to wake up again around 1 am and get ready to go. If all goes as planned, you should be back in your 8th station hut after 7 am. We didn't feel too well that night so skipped the night climb and stayed in the hut till 7 am. After breakfast we continued up to the top (empty trail with no ppl around!) reaching the crater ridge / highest point after 11 am. Enjoy Mt Fuji & good luck :)
