Bastiodon might be a candidate for the worst Pokemon of all time. Aurorus has at least offensive niche. I don't know if Bastiodon can learn Body Press because I dropped Pokemon after Gen 7.

Archeops should’ve had Adaptability. It just makes perfect sense for it but no because of some pretentious narcissists at game freak decided to cripple it and didn’t bother giving it other abilities which is ironic from a series that wants everyone to use their favorites yet screw over 80+% of the Pokémon on top of introducing broken shit like zacian, dracovish, urshifu, calyrex shadow & ice rider, flutter mane, iron bundle, etc. As a result this franchise ends up becoming Animal Farm levels of bullshit

Monsters like Clefable exist that can deal with Dragon with STAB Fairy and can carry Ice Beam if it wants to to deal with bulky Grounds all without needing to be held back by BEING Ice. Clefable has worse defensive stats than plenty of the bulky Ice Pokemon. Being mono Fairy plus Magic Guard goes a long way. Part of why the trash resistances is a big deal is cuz switching in to take hits is super important hence Ice is held back by Pokemon's garbage matchup spread of types. There once was a time where stuff like Lapras could reasonably switch in on things. Pretty much any monster collector has a more balanced matchup spread where Ice is far less a liability. Yo-Kai Watch 3's official competitive online format, for example has Draaagin whom, in Pokemon terms is, is an Ice type Slaking. Such a concept would be low tier trash in Pokemon but thanks to the deeper battle system, the game having a fair matchup spread where Ice is weak to Fire only and nothing else and the fact it has a second item slot easily puts Draaagin as an easy high tier metagame choice that sees usage in high ladder that makes Slaking or any of the wide variety of low tier trash Ice Pokemon look like a joke.

The ability is really good for pivoting though, it synergizes really well with rocky helmet, hdb, and even eject button. It can punish switches with spikes, plus it has a lot to gain from wish passing and even healing wish. I agree that hazards hit it hard, but good hazard setters get less prevalent the further you go down the tiers, whereas the inverse is true for viable rapid spinners or even defoggers.

I would rather have Golisopod at least have an hidden ability like Sharpness
