Pet Shop Boys "Nonetheless" Album Review
Yeah great director, he will be missed.
I never knew about the Mc Cartney - RM connection. Ill buy that book immediatly, Danke so cool
I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT INTROSPECTIVE IS THE ALBUM I HAVE MOST LISTENED TO OVER THE LAST 36 YEARS SO YOU ARE PROBABLY RIGHT. VERY WILL ALWAYS BE DEAR TO MY HEART BUT I MUST ADMIT THAT NONETHELESS HAS BLOWN ME AWAY.
Born in February 1952. An absolutely incredible singer-songwriter. She is one of the very best artists ever. Long live, Joanie .
The kick inside 9 lionheart 8.5 never for ever 8.5 the dreaming 9 hounds of love 9.25 the sensual world 8.75 the red shoes 8 aerial 9 50 words for snow 8.25
If I had never heard any of JA's songs and googled her most popular and listened to Drop the Pilot it is unlikely I'd have ever listened to any others and I'd have missed out on Love and Affection, Save Me, The shouting Stage, Cool Blue Stole My Heart, WIllow, The Weakness in Me.........
Criminally under rated. Just too sophisticated for a world that can't appreciate anything more than that woman, what's her name? Oh yes, Taylor Swift - here today, gone tomorrow.
Absolutely
I'd put The Dreaming top
It’s a great forgotten record - x
absolutely
Stranded is a beautiful album.
I love reading and watching other people's lists and it never fails to amaze me how different we are as fans, even being from the same generation. I started listening to the band in the early 90s but your top two spots are currently my #12 and #13, while Electric is in my top 3. I might do a blog post reviewing the band's discography because there's just too much to say on those precious records. I also had to rank Relentless because it has since been released separately from Very, and if Introspective, technically a Disco sequel with 6 extended mixes is eligible, then why not Relentless? Nice video, good job!
The best recordby the best lineup of the best band ever❤❤❤❤❤
Country Life just edges Stranded.
Very, very interesting! If I were to rank these albums, I would have “Confrontation” and “Survival” at the bottom of my list, and “Rastaman Vibration” and “Natty Dread” at the top. It would take me some time to sort out the rest.. I like “Exodus” partly for the reason that you don’t care for it - I like the flow and the running order of it, how side one of the vinyl record is religious/political, and side two is made up of romantic songs. Several of the songs on the album have been quite overplayed though. But basically I think that all of these albums can be categorized as “good” or “very good” in my opinion. Enjoyed the video, very nice to hear these albums discussed on UA-cam. 👍
thank you tom!
Great list.
Hey, like the effort and topic!
thank you!
She's awesome, Tracy Chapman also
I totally agree so underated!!! My favorite.
Getting out of your comfort zone again, I see ;-) I don't know a lot of full-length Bob Marley albums myself, it's a a style I really need to be in the mood in. His Live album from the mid-70s is really good! Thanks for the shout-out, btw!
had i ranked that live album, it would be top3 maybe even #1 in this ranking
Sir you absolutely correct you’re definitely not an expert
@@GetSassyWithJacqueline oh yes, but thanks for watching!
I’ve been to London which is really cool. I would love to visit more of England someday like Liverpool and Dover.
It would be great to hear 'It's Gettin' Better (Man!!)' and 'Songbird' but I don't feel like Noel would go for it. 'Whatever' would be brilliant, seems like that one has a chance. I'd like them to play 'Shock of the Lightning', 'I Hope, I Think, I Know' and 'Headshrinker'.
Headshrinker would be mega, especially with Bonehead on rhythm guitar
Hey Stefan, schöne Sammlung.
Wow... Siren is my favorite RM album ever since. Rare choice!
yes, we are in the minority here
Thanks all the way from Australia for sharing this!
G'day from Austria
awesum!0
I pretty much have to agree with your views of the Oasis reunion.
Sean Connery is the 1 and only real bond for me and Roger Moore did bond alot moore fun so even though some of these are better then others there is actually only 1 that didnt really fit into the bond movies!! Do u know who i mean??
I guess you mean Lazenby (though for me the one I could live without is Craig)...
The middle song is a favourite of mine.
I kind of hope they do the entire album of What’s the Story Morning Glory. Hello would be a great start to the concert.
I don’t know Blur that well. I’ve never heard of Pulp. I really like What’s the Story Morning Glory and Be Here Now.
then it's time to check out PULP. Different Class is their best album; if you want to start with single tracks on youtube, check out the videos to "Disco 2000" and "Something Changed" for example
Fundamental (2006) is one of the most underrated albums, and I believe it deserves to be at least in the top 5. It’s a politically charged, anti-war album with very sharp critiques and brilliant melodies. With impeccable production by Trevor Horn and excellent b-sides, I would venture to say it’s the last great album by PSB made in the 'old way'-with time to refine, mature, and release. It’s very consistent and distinct from everything else in the duo’s extensive discography. It’s worth revisiting, and yes, like a fine wine, it has aged very well.
While those foolish enough to worry about is cool or not there are those just busy enjoying music. As for Dire Straits it was very unusual for a band to issue an album with only five tracks on it(Love Over Gold) with a fourteen minute opening track(Telegraph Road) and a seven minute single(Private Investigations) at a time when most pop songs were very short. Yeah, really safe, huh? Just enjoy whatever you are into and stop wasting your energy on this nonsense!
yes, like I said. I love the brothers in arms album and I fell in love with Jethro Tull as a band. Cool or not cool does not determine whether I like something or not. But great point about dire straits being adventurous in their own kind of way; agreed.
I’ve been on the Beatles tour in London. I’d love to go to Liverpool someday.
Il est génial ,un super artiste !Sa voix est une merveille , sa musique est sublime .Merci 👌❤️
absolument
Linda Saint Tropez BB sabe e vive neste lugar lindo um paraíso.
Wonderful video! That word “if” is sure used a lot though. It’s sad that we will never know what might have happened, but each of us can create our own’Beatles parallel universes’. I just stumbled across your channel because of my own curiosity about what might have happened. I still have a CD recorder and intend to create my own “what if” Beatles albums. I may even use some AI generated songs from UA-cam that I’ve heard. I have no intention to do it for anyone but myself. I know that selling such a thing is not right. But the possibilities are endless if you can pretend that John was not murdered in 1980 and George was still with us.
thank you
Danke!
Danke
London is a really cool city. I have both that McCartney book and Ringo book. Both are good reads with a lot of good information.
I agree on the mccartney book and have yet to read the ringo (but good to hear that you like it, then I know it will be good)
Good day. Yeah~outstanding ,
My top 3 pet shop boys albums 1) Bilingual 2) Behaviour 3) Very I'm so pleased too see someone else agree with me on Bilingual and our choices are on ranking are pretty spot on. My favourite pet shop boys The way it used to be from the album. Excellent video by the way Neil and Chris always said Behaviour will be the album that will grow on people and of course they were right nearly 35 years on.
.....? Yes !
You should DEFINITELY like Gryphon !
Always great getting more Beatles on vinyl. It’s been a while since I’ve listened to Yellow Submarine because of all the non Beatles tracks.
Don't worry, Tull are cool.....the individuals who state they aren't cool either have no idea what good music is or are Rolling Stone journalists. You're wrong IMHO regarding their early albums...Stand Up and Benefit are masterpieces to me.
With the Beatles is still an album I need to get. You got some early Beatles there.
