Knee 2 Elbow Connection (Guard Passed)

Knee 2 Elbow Connection (Guard Passed)
You ever have a problem with guard recomposition when you extend that right leg out before the hip switch?
I have never had somebody get me back into guard when doing this technique. The amount of pressure I can force on their belly does not allow them to turn into me to even try to re guard
So are you just shooting your left arm in to spin yourself clockwise?
@@glovebox6770 kind of, it also helps so your opponent can’t move an item keeps him there
So helpful, I get caught everything I try to dismount for arm triangle
Hi bro is there any good defense against that since on of my friends is spamming that sumbission.
I would say if you keep your elbow tight to their hip. Should work let me know
Love it 👍🏼
I like it. This won't make friends in the gym but it looks effective.
@@eugenebrumley 100% I’ve never used it at the gym. But I have in the street to take someone in custody
Would love to see the defence/counter to this move.
He doesn't debunk shit. If the guy stuck his thumb in his eye while bridging him he could have stood up on the first one. On the second one he let him hold him down.
@@trippfields9518 lol. Are you one of these Krav Maga guys that’s never been in a fight? Obviously a thumb to my eye would hurt but what makes you think I wouldn’t do it back. Anything you think you can do to someone they could do it back. They are just in a better and more dominant position while they do it. Ultimately trained people will always beat people who are untrained! If I’m more trained than you are, I have a way better chance of beating you in a sport or real fight. Even if you want to thumb out my eye or fishhook my mouth or hit my groin. Go actually train with some Brazilian jiu-jitsu guys and see how difficult it is to do any of those things. I bet you quit your kids kung fu class and join Brazilian jiu-jitsu
I'm a first responder, and these videos are nice to watch. While I know a bit of the technique in your videos, having them explained in scenario situations helps prepare in case they need applied outside of the gym
Hey could u do the reverse armbar to the back when it fails
Yes, if they bring their arm in. Bring your chest to theirs to close the gap. And climb to take their back. Make sure to grab the armpit/lat area to help pull you up
@@chosenfewbjj9283 thanks for the fast reply and the advice great instructional video
Tried this first time today. Even with my head anchored down and what have you I still got cross collar choked everytime by my partner 😂 not sure what I was doing wrong.
guys in the gym do this to me all the time. so annoying
I did a video a while back on one way to counter this, it should help you out.
Excellent shit. Keep it comin
Does this actually make someone blackout? Do you need to be very strong?
You don’t need to be strong at all. Just use the technique
A guy did this to me today. My neck popped before blackout and I tapped
I just put a dude much stronger and bigger than me to sleep with this. No tap, go nap.
@@roringgo1205sounds like he was squeezing too hard. Not necessary at all. Just hold tight and wait 5-10 seconds, they’ll start getting tunnel vision.
@@roringgo1205I did this to someone and his neck popped and he tapped felt kinda bad
Very useful!
Nice detail
beaut
Thanks you so much🎉
Great. Never seen this simple strategy.
standing up against a bjj guy does work but only if you know how to grapple in the first place
Mi tecnica favorita💀
Well done
Awesome tip! Oss!
Amazing!! I'm trying this tonight :)
Awesome. I’m definitely gonna try this! Yesterday I had a guy in side control, went for the Americana, when I didn’t get it I used it to distract while I transition to mount and got the gift wrap, couldn’t do anything from there so I let it go and switched to an Ezekiel and got the tap…gonna try this next time instead!
Jesse Enkamp has entered the chat... and a BJJ tournament lol.
😂
But isn't it important to keep head control so they can't posture up? When you raise your hips what stops them from following the momentum up
Hips up brings their head forward getting them off balance as long as you can move your shoulders away
Nice
Is there any way to get deeper to lock in the choke? I train with mostly bigger guys 200lb-240lb range and their frame is larger for their upper body, especially shoulders. Any micro adjustments to make? Ill ask my professor but just curious if you could answer this question as well
Escaping my hips further away also usually helps me out.
Let's take this moment to thank Saulo Ribeiro for the running man defense
Oh right on. I learned from Pritt!
@@chosenfewbjj9283Nice! Saulo taught it in his Jiu Jitsu Revolution 2 DVD in 2007!!
Iam gonna name your “45” the 45 degree angle principle.. it applies as you always explain to everything.. getting your knees in, you get them in a 45 degree angle.. attacking the arm or leg, and so on.. go back on your videos and you’ll find yourself always recommending the “45” maybe you should work on that and make a tutorial on it.. if you do it, Iam getting a discount for suggesting it, lol..
Sounds like a Deal!!!
Or monoplata 😉
One convenient position doesnt bust a myth... What if he grabs a chunk of flesh and digs his fingernails thru the meat??
If you’re willing to handle someone like this. I think you can handle fingernails
The kid was not using the crucifix correctly.
Thanks for actually showing the technique a few times live before breaking it down. That is the way everyone should do it. Great stuff!
it is a lot better to DRIVE your hips right into the back rather than extend the legs into them. if you extend your legs, the opponent may back kick and get out. but if you drive your hips then there is really no back kick and they feel the FULL force & pressure drivin into the back & breaking them down
What if he straightens his arm? Could you use your other hand to bring it down or would that compromise your position? Or if he keeps it straight should you bail and try something else?
Thanks for the video. I searched truck from turtle and this was the first result. Exactly what I was looking for. Oss.
Top lock
I just say what feels right, even if it’s wrong. In my head it sounds ok. 😂 Thanks!!
@@chosenfewbjj9283 technically you’re not wrong. You are locking the shoulder. Naming things is always the hardest thing. Armbar arm lock. Bent arm bar Americana. What’s the difference?
Instead of grabbing your hands do you evwr put your right hand to your left elbow and tou left hand across their neck? Ive had a hard time finishing arm triangles, among other things i was missing your detail of feeding the elbow further behind their neck, and started to do that in an attempt to get a choke
Yes. I do. This was strictly for demonstration so you can see a bit more. Anytime I can use both arms or a mata Leo position I use it. It’s much stronger
I have seen this taught a few times. What do you find the success rate is or is it a reminder to the partner to not try and grab your armpits again?
You can catch this a few times at first. Then it turns into a reminder not to do that and it opens your game up a lot. Just like if you can’t pass someone’s guard take a leg. Next time they won’t know what to do or defend against
I feel so stupid for never thinking of this
Roll aligator stupid
By earthquake do you mean "kipping?"
You can call it whatever you want as long as you remember it when you need it!! I just think of kipping as using your entire body in a constant movement. This is just your leg.
I just learned this “inverted half guard” a couple of months ago and I would sometimes struggle with freeing the knee. This is genius. Thank you. Very simple and effective.
Sock game on fire 🔥
I haven’t seen sprawl shorts in ages 😂 hell yeah coach
i like it!
