Oof, I don’t know if I would have handled that so well. Then again I have a pretty big burn pile already and I’m not afraid to keep throwing out anything that I don’t consider to be nearly perfect.

wow, problems right at the end. moving the bridge was one thing but the fretboard thing was a bit weird. i bet you were a bit puzzled when you were intonating trying to figure out what was wrong. can't wait to see the next one.

that top is so cool looking. i'm glad i get such a good look at where the neck and body become one. i' ve been thinking about building a bass like that but kept being puzzled by the way i'd grip the back of the neck.

Oh, that purple heart! This bass is gone be crazy mate! About sawing large pieces, check one of videos on the GGBO 2022 (about 4min on episode 3). There is a technique my grandfather (he was a carpenter) used that make it way easier. Basically you saw upside up with two hands. Disclaimer #1: I didn't finished the build in time for GGBO so I didn't post the final guitar. I finished everything but... Disclaimer #2: The neck was all wrong (too narrow on the upper frets) so the guitar is unplayable. I plan to make a new neck just for the fun. Peace and long life! 🖖
