Poverty mindset. You'd do well to listen to this rabbi's message a little more closely. Provide a value surplus to others and the money follows.
It's mainly what you give to the universe - you receive what you do. it's a kind of mindset to achieve by becoming.

but if he gives all of those to a homeless guy, wouldn’t that be a bread of shame? especially if the homeless guy has not built the vessel to contain all those things

This is what I since I can remember have been embarrassed about being a blind giver. ...and never understood how I went from HaShems Glory to Glory to Glory....I was ashamed of my nature of understanding the importance of 10 the first 10th since high school. Had children out of marriage all types of foolishness but always secretly spying on Jews as a Christian ALWAYS no matter what through evictions homelessness etc Gd has always provided because through all of my problems I made sure to give....I now own a very successful trade school house paid for cash a few cars paid for cash with my oldest in college. I thank Gd for never allowing me to be different as I use to cry and hate myself for always giving my fist fruits and tithes...Kabbalah then opened up another demenson...Gd is Faithful
