I've Got a Secret 12/31/62 with Guy Lombardo
This live New Year's Eve program features Guy Lombardo conducting Auld Lang Syne. The orchestra is made up of audience members chosen just before the program started, playing together for the first time. Other highlights include "instant balladeer" Steve DePass making up songs on the spot based on news stories of the past year. Substituting for Bess on the panel is Margot Larink, a Grand Rapids secretary chosen from the audience.

Butterfly

The first fifteen minutes or so are in real time, then there are a couple of hours of little action which are sped up dramatically, followed by the final few moments when the wings are ready and it flies away. We weren't home to adjust the camera for most of it, so we're sorry that in the end he's practically out of the frame. Still, enjoy!

The Aniform technology was also used to animate a character named Gerald McBoing Boing. He might have been part of the Captain Kangaroo show.
Aniform was patented in 1960. "Gerald McBoing Boing" was a 1950 UPA cartoon, with some sequels, animated simply but using the normal animation process. The Captain Kangaroo show had a character called "Fred" which used the Aniform process.
Professor Julius Sumner Miller appeared on the quirky, crazy, Canadian horror/comedy show (yes, that's right) "The Hilarious House Of Frightenstein," in the early 1970's. The professor, as himself, would explain some complicated physics experiment, from the basement of Count Frightenstein's Castle. Lots of other weird characters, too. I loved this show. There are probably clips on UA-cam. Worth looking for. Anyone else remember this show??
