    A few months ago, it was already after midnight. I was lying in bed watching TV, my eyes were closing😴 and I was about to turn off the TV when a Jessie J concert started. (Baloise Session 2023) I love singers, I was curious, so I started watching the show and wow! I was awake again! I was so impressed with her singing that I watched the whole thing until morning. Her rendition of Whitney's "I Have Nothing" blew me away!🤩 (...and I'm not easily impressed.) I've never understood the criticism of Jessie J. I found her very likeable and entertaining during the concert. I'm not her biggest fan, but I know her greatest hits and she's definitely a great singer!🎤❤

    I'm not a religious person, even though I was forced to go to religious classes for nine years.😇 I tend to view religion as a negative force. It's hard to imagine the amount of suffering that has been caused in the name of religion. In "holy" wars, in the proselytizing of other cultures, in the burning of "witches", etc. In general, how women are discriminated against in most religions. No, religion is not for me. I don't want to be a part of any kind of religion. (I'm not a fan of any cults, communities and associations anyway.😂) I don't believe in a god, but I feel that there is some kind of higher power that holds everything together. Everything is connected somehow. I also think that the universe is so intricately/perfectly designed (by whoever?) that it operates autonomously. It runs on its own, it doesn't require the intervention of a "judging" god (or goddess😉). However, this also means that everything that happens is random. And that we have free will and we are responsible for ourselves and our actions. Amen.🙏😂 Of course, it's very difficult to express such a deep subject in a few sentences (in English!). You could discuss topics like these for hours and it would never end.

      @@patrik_wilhelm Oh yes, I don't condone any of the atrocities carried out in name of any religion and I see that as the 'bad religion' created by sinful men. As for free will, it's good to hear different opinions because I still don't know what I think about it myself, so it's all food for thought. Languagewise, you've explained yourself very clearly 😊

    I am a gay guy myself and I think those things are truly disgusting. You know, it's kind of a funny and sad thing at the same time because so many gays say like we hated yourself growing up among hetero people and we felt so much better and accepted as we met other gay people and became a part of gay community. But to me it was actually really opposite as I was really okay with who I am before I talked to other gays, but after I did I was so disgusted questioning myself - "am I really like that too?", and then began feeling so hopeless realising that I'm never gonna meet my the one, never gonna be someone's the one, that I will never know what true love is... Because there's no love among gay people, only sex. I've even stopped identifying myself as gay not because I'm not gay, I really am, but simply because I don't wanna identify myself with those people, I want no more be a part of that gross community Anyways, no hate towards you. You made a kind of controversial video, I left an honest and kind of controversial comment

      @@Wad797 I completely understand what you mean because I went through the same. Because of how we were all brought up, I used to find this aspect of being gay very upsetting and off-putting. I've just come back from a gay cruise and the guy I had a bit of a cruise romance with wants a closed one, the same goes for a guy I met a couple of months ago. This is interesting to me as well as a gay guy. I am not typically attractive (I am chubby - its an acquired taste), I have social anxiety so I don't find myself in new places easily. Plus I like emotional connection and intimacy (although I also have had my wild moments) - so I have not explored these spaces. Its interesting for me to hear what its like for those people who are classically attractive and outgoing.

      @@noodleppoodle it's been a big learning curve for me. It's definitely not for everyone and there's nothing wrong with that. It's my new year's resolution to try these places more so I can understand if I like them more than I think (and maybe I just suppressed that side of me because we are taught it's wrong) or if it's not for me. Actually, I've realised sex clubs and sex in general are for me but I just don't let my life revolve around them. Some people go to these places more than once a week and I just wouldn't do that, not because it's wrong but because I have other things to do and I prioritise other events. Even on the gay cruises I go on (the video on my recent one is coming soon) some guys are there to have sex 24/7; whilst I'm often on the prowl there, too, I wouldn't sacrifice an excursion, a party or a show for a bit of fun. So I think that's more or less where I stand. As for being an acquired taste, at least here in London there are all sorts of people, bodies, styles in these places and everyone finds someone to have fun with, so if you can get past your anxiety (and occasionally the need for intimacy), don't let that stop you from trying 💪😊

The math/language connection Sam makes intrigues me...because I was terrible at math but languages were so easy. Very interesting topic! I got you, your observations and thoughts made sense to me.👍 We have four national languages (in a way five😂) in Switzerland: Swiss German (for speaking) and German (for reading & writing), French, Italian and Romansh. (It's a fascinating aspect of language how it can vary so greatly within a relatively small geographical area.😊) I live in the center of Switzerland, which is one of the German-speaking parts, I only speak "Schwiitzerdütsch".😁 I don't know if you've ever heard Swiss German, but it's very different from German. It's sounds softer, has a lot of ch/sch-sounds and we use many unique words that don't exist in German. (e.g. "Gehen wir?" is simply "Gömmer?" in Swiss German.) It's literally a different language! Most Germans can't understand us, except for words that sound the same in German, of course. We only speak "High German", as it's called here, when a German (or a German-speaking person) addresses us in that way. That's why Germans in Switzerland often feel left out, get frustrated and go back to Germany. Really!😂 We don't really have an official spelling and we only have two tenses, yes two! The Präsens and the Perfekt. We use them for everything, even for the future. So you can imagine that having twelve tenses in English is a little bit overwhelming for me.🤯 My brain is simply not made for so many!😂 (For the future we often use Präsens + a time expression. e.g. "Ech schriebä morn en Brief." = "I write tomorrow a letter." You could probably say some things in Futur 1/2 too, but it would sound a bit strange. It also depends on the dialect to some extent, how it would sound.) Well, I've lectured you enough about "Schwiitzerdütsch", and I hope it wasn't too confusing.😳😂 To end this, let's not forget the infamous Swiss German "Chuchichäschtli" (Küchenschrank/kitchen cupboard) it's the ultimate tongue twister for every linguist! Have fun practicing!😜

      @SamCarusoASMR 10 днів тому

      @@BrianLloyd1991 Hi Brian, I see what you mean and I'll give you a half-answer: the reason for that is that I have a very unpopular opinion that I don't want to share on here regarding taking responsibility for our own actions and allowing ourselves to be influenced by the external world. Something I think is always overlooked is that we all try to sell ourselves to our best at all times, even if what we sell is not always representative of the exact truth. We often make jokes about a man and a woman going home together for a one-night stand and the man not recognising the woman the morning after because all her makeup is gone. The very same goes for men: the mere fact that they put on gel or a nice top that accentuates their beauty, their eyes, etc.. Is their way of selling themselves to their best. But the same way a girl's makeup will be smudged off her face in the morning, so will the guy's gel, and the top that maybe made him look more toned than he is. I'm a hair guy in the sense that my hair (and stubble) can make or break me, so even I look very different the morning after, and the reason why I film my videos as far from my drag shows as possible is that I want to have as much stubble as I can because I know I simply look better. A restaurant will always highlight only what it's famous for and it will never say 'Our pizza is incredible but we don't recommend our own chips because they are mediocre' (even if they are bad for real). I'm not saying this approach is fair on everyone but I can't condemn it morally because it's a code we all live by; the only difference is that big companies do it more openly. We all discriminate based on beauty. If you prefer green to orange and are presented with a green pillow and an orange one, you'll obviously pick the green one (which is natural and normal), so based on the point you've made, my question is 'why don't you pick the orange one to prove that personal taste doesn't matter?'. I know absolutely nothing about fashion but let's take that as an example of an industry that promotes skinny girls (even though it's changing now). If science has proven that percentagewise a skinny girl is aesthetically more pleasing to the eye of most people, and that a dress looks more appealing when worn by a smaller girl, which in turn results in more people buying clothes, I can't blame fashion for using a natural human fact to their advantage (let me be very clear: I do not know if this is the reason why fashion promotes this body type. Mine is just an idea). Also, when Dior uses a skinny model, I don't think they are trying to convince people to starve to death as I don't think they are interested in this kind of impact on society. I just think they want to promote a dress the best they can, the same way we use yellow and red to express danger and alert as we use the emotions they naturally engender in us to our advantage. I believe a lot needs to be said about how people let external factors affect them (and I won't get into it), but I'll just say that the reason why I know all body types are accepted on the cruise is that a lot of men that don't fit into the model advertised online had the courage to take a risk and not let the internet put them off this great experience, and I applaude them for their courage and confidence. Don't get me wrong: although I understand the marketing strategy, I still believe a couple of different body types should be included in the pictures, because visual inclusivity is always the first to hit home and because the men portrayed on the website often belong to a LIFESTYLE that not everyone likes (i.e. Going to the gym all the time, eating plain chicken, listening to techno and electro music) so people may think the cruise can only offer that kind of vibe, which is not the case. I have much more to say about this but I'll leave it at that, otherwise, I'll write a UA-cam novel without even realising 😜, but I hope I've conveyed the general gist of what I mean

I've watched 24, I'm rewatching Buffy... They have a great selection. The German used there is PERFECT, accentless and pure, like RP, modern RP or Standard British over here, which makes it easier to understand and a great introduction to spoken German. However, real Germans don't speak as flawlessly and clearly as that 😜 - for more real life German, you should follow EASY GERMAN on UA-cam. It's a BRILLIANT channel! They have videos where they actively teach but what makes them stand out is the fact that they interview real people from the streets, which exposes you to accents, slang and all sorts of real usage of the language. It CAN be tricky but I'm sure it's divided into levels. They also have a podcast, where they speak real German as they are all native speakers, but it's slightly slower than native speed. And you can also subscribe to a partner they have (I think it's called SEEDLANG), where you can learn and do exercises and you get extra material regarding the UA-cam videos they release; - Netflix has a few German things, for example the series DAS LETZTE WORT; - There is a presenter called LUKE MOCKRIDGE who has a sort of talk show and you can find clips on UA-cam.
