A brief video showcasing some very special archival footage of Chaff production at Ganmain NSW Australia. Chaff production had been the mainstay of the Ganmain community from the first European closer settlement in the late 1800's. Chaff production ceased in 2022 when Logan and Hitchens closed the last remaining chaff mill.

A short video of the Wagga Air Pageant, about 1957. A couple of aircraft on the ground including the magnificent Super Constellation. Aircraft buffs I'm sure will be able to identify others both on the ground and in the air. Originally shot by Allan A Holgate on 8mm film, and digitally restored in 2016.
Incredible. I have some pretty cool family history out this way - my 5th great grandfather was Henry Wren, who was the original manager of the Kameruka Estate. My 4th great grandfather, William Weld Wren, was a co-founder of the Bega Co-operative Creamery Company.. now known as Bega Cheese.
Wow, I grew up on the neighbouring farm across Wallaroobie road called Bayou. We used to walk around this quarry in the 80s as kid's and some would swim there. Absolutely fascinating!
Fascinating story- Gwen was great mates with my Grandmother Lorna Lennon nee Cox
He was always an interesting story teller. RIP Gary - a great bloke and uncle with inspiring faith - enjoying his eternal reward with my dad who also passed away last year.
Dam it’s different now I live in Bega
It looks so different
Ahhhh... those were the days, slaughtering sharks for no reason and playing with their dead bodies 👍
Deepest Sympathy to Betty and family on the sudden loss of Russell. He was our best man in 1964, lovely fellow. Mulga and Joan Shelton
Very interesting scenes from 1949 Howard! (You can add some 'appropriate' background music if you want by using the UA-cam editor and clicking on ''audio'').
