Amazing. I always wondered, with all the information out there, who is out there destroying the underside of the car by jacking it up by the rocker panel and away from the reinforced area?? Oh, here they are. I've seen the damage from this method a bunch of times, never seen someone actually do it. "But look, you can SEE it's strong." No, you can't tell a pinch weld is strong enough to support the weight of the whole car by glancing at it and rubbing it with your finger. lol. Holy smokes.

Clickbait. Fun fact: you could block the whole top side of the oil pickup screen and oil could still flow through the side exits. Testing has shown that RTV in the tube has no effect on oil pressure.

I appreciate this insight! When replacing my s2000 i considered 8j ttrs, b9 s4, and fk8 ctr among others. After driving 8j and fk8 i ruled out all three for most of the reasons listed here. They are fantastic daily drivers but i was looking for a toy that could pass as a daily not a daily that could pass as a toy. I think even my s550 was a little too tame of a choice if im honest. Excited to see what you do with the platform!

Always jack your car from under your oil sump and fuel tank. That way, you'll spend lots of money on new parts and learn how to install oil sumps and fuel tanks. All while keeping the economy flowing 😉

It's been my daily for a while. Dynamic steering, rear sport diff, dynamic suspension, Prestige package. it's a great, overall vehicle. Edit: Every car out there, you get used to after a while. Take the Subaru STI for example. It's a peppy car, but cheap plastics and a noisy cabin also gets old pretty fast. Although we happen to own IT as well. It's what I like to drive when I want to row my own gears. 1000 HP Mustang? that's more for the young crowd, or for people whom want to impress/showoff on social media. Can't do anything with it legally on the highway.

I jack on the pinch weld. I go high enough to fit a wood wheel cradle i built under each wheel until the whole car if off the ground and level

I hit unlock on the fob a zillion times and had to use the emergency release inside the car. There is a round cap that unscrews a quarter turn and you can pull on a rubber handle to get it to release. That was the only way I could get mine released. My EV6 also gets cranky about letting go from fast chargers as well but not as bad as the V2L.

You suppose lower to stand on pinch weld while keep jack add support with handle off as trip hazard plus wheels under car as additional support maybe another jack on other side plus emergency brake on for front and park...also wheel chocks ..safety first Keep on flat surface ...make sure secure on gravel no sinking maybe sheet metal under jack and stands. 4 stands plus jack still dangerous ...may slide and tilt ..use wheels underneath
