36 WAC 2022 - Day 3 - Synchronous Collaborative Music Lessons and their digital materiality

It is increasingly acknowledged that digital artifacts of any kind may be crafted from a variety of materials that include programming languages, notations, scripts, code generators, etc. As these materials are digital natives, they are distinctly different from conventional instruments In an attempt to grasp their full potential and to gain insights into what constitutes their materiality, researchers have recently engaged in useful argumentation about the properties of such digital materials. Using an evolving case study on Synchronous Collaborative Music Lessons (SCMLs), we seek to contribute to this argumentation by showcasing how designated digital materials and their transformative capacity can re-organize the conduct of a jazz improvisation music lesson.

Somewhat ironic that the audio from Web Audio Conference sounds like it was transmitted from a post apocalyptic dungeon at 8kbps using WW2 era headphones as a microphone. But 5/5 for the content! ❤️

Very interesting. I'm just learning about WAM. Lets save I have a host and want to create a offline render. Essentially apply plugins to a buffer faster than real-time. Would this be possible?
hello, how long will it take to create a website by inserting social media bees, tik tok, facebook / instagram, you tube, spotify, itune store, tidal, deezer, claro music, beatport, amazon music. sales service and social media promotion service ... a price estimate?
The audio is out of sync with the video and every 5-10 seconds speeds up dramatically.

I don’t understand how you would playback sound in the past. Recording in the past, yup, you explained that, and many recording systems do that since a long time. But how can you start playing the loop back event before the user pushed the button ? Seems impossible to me
the parts spn and aw are not clearly explained. how does webassemly interface with the audio on the system or the browser? what API does the browser give to webassembly? for me it was confusing. i probably could get that examples and modify it to my needs to work with but i don't know if i actually need csound and maybe access audio APIs from webassembly directly?
