Is there a way to remove the click wheel? After removing the rubber padding, i noticed the right and down directions will not correctly reset. I believe there is some debris caught in between, but worried ill snap it off and break my remote.

Hey thank you for showing how to disassemble the remote. Mine wouldn't charge at all. The cleaning didn't help so I tried to fix the part where the cable from the battery meets the circuit board. As I pushed a tool between plastic and circuit board the remote came to live immediately. I'm glad that I don't need to spend 40€ for a 2 year old remote replacement. This is just poor quality. Never had problems with other brands.

hi! have you tried reverse engineering the remote? are the usb data terminal inverted or soldered like any other usb device? it would be helpful for those who would work towards reprogramming the three hated buttons below volume and channel.

I'm not really sure why this worked, since there was no apparent dust or grime, but it worked. I even tried a dry brush before opening it up, but it didn't work until I opened it up and dry brushed again. Thank you!

After water damage it worked for a while, but stopped. It looked terrible under the hood. I cleaned it fully, but to no effect. It won’t charge. Or do anything, thanks for the clear instructions though.

Your video was a lifesaver! My son dropped our remote and it became non responsive and wouldn’t charge. I watched your video and opened it (I didn’t even know you could open this remote LOL) and brushed the inside and just moved the batteries around a bit and put everything back and it works fine now! Can’t believe it!! Many Thanks!
