Container search, two hides, one distraction - a tortilla chip Conditions: hides aged 2 hours in the sun. Temperature 65°, no wind Unintentional distractions: neighbor put out bread about 20 feet from search area, neighbor entering/exiting their house during search, Guinness and I had just got back from a walk and I should have given him time to decompress.

Guinness is a 6 year old Irish Setter. He was born in a puppy mill and was taken in by a rescue when he needed surgery for inverted eyelids. Guinness loves learning new tricks, going on hikes, practicing nosework, and being a lap dog.

Will Guinness be able to bypass piles of treats to come when called? On our first attempt I did not make the rules of the game clear and he gobbles up some treats. On our second attempt I give him the cue for leave it, but then he is hesitant to come when called. I end up showing him the treat to bribe him to come.

Guinness works on learning how to do a handstand. It took 24 days to progress from him knowing how to rear end target onto the couch to on a board against the wall to almost using only the wall.

I hope he had his surgery. My Irish Setter, Roarke, suffered from the same thing. It was hard watching him suffer until he was a year old. Two surgeries later and you can't tell he ever had a problem.
frehley6986 yes, Guinness had his surgery when he was 8 weeks old, and completely recovered. I'm glad to hear that Roarke it's doing better after the surgeries! It's heartbreaking to see them in pain

+Ze Quintella I used a similar technique to this video: ua-cam.com/video/4vlSNtSV3_k/v-deo.html Guinness adds his own dramatic flair by barking and really plopping down. He did it own his own and I shaped it by heavily rewarding whenever he did it.
Go from sit, to down , to lay down to the side, have her follow treats, then combine them all with the command "bang!"
