In 2008 Estin Ma took interest in multi-rotor helicopters. Now he's back on a mission. To film (from the air) the best Hawaii has to offer. If you need an eye in the sky - photography, surveying or inspection, give us a call.

Settling in with the Phantom 3 Pro. After two weeks it's proving to be a reliable platform. Got bored of hanging around at the field and decided to explore an area I've never been able to reach before. That Lightbridge is no joke :)

Hilton Hawaiian Village Friday Night Fireworks - DJI Phantom 3 Professional

Once again, conditions weren't ideal. Passing rain thru out the day and even a small downpour right before takeoff (Hence the water on the lens). Winds were breezy at 25mph with gusts of up to 35mph. This is raw unedited video shot at ISO400 @ 1/6.25 Still an impressive advance over the P2V

Flew her for the first time today at the Kailua R/C airfield. Pushed the limits and was impressed with the results. That 4K camera is nice :)
2nd Flight of The New DJI Phantom 3 Professional

Decided to get another flight in today even though the conditions weren't ideal. Rain was rolling in and winds were blowing at 25mph, gusting up to 35mph. Once again, given the conditions the P3 Pro handled well. There were some moments where I had to mash the sticks to get it where I needed to but never a point where I lost confidence in the aircraft. The P3 is a little twitchy on the controls...
Brilliant. Just got my P3 - not flown it yet.

wow, awesome!
Great video, how long you been flying phantom?
Been flying Phantoms for about 4 years now. I have bigger birds that use DSLRs, but the Phantom has become my new point and shoot. Fast setup, fast breakdown.
+Flying HI I am thinking of getting a standard, im a newbe lol. the price is unbeatable for what ya get.
+Jeff Franklin very true. They make for good practice too.
👍🏻
We purchased this to capture our family adventures with. it does this magnificently. We found the best price at amzn.to/1mu10w3
awesome! great footage
Such a beautiful place to fly, you're very lucky. That was quite ambitious for a first flight too!
Stunning footage!
You should have a microphone on ground to record the firework and then combine them in post :D
no sound??
How were you able to achieve 1/6.25 settings? Couldn't get the settings to stick. Everytime I went out of the little ISO/Shutter/EVO it went to AE. and then the Shutter on my P3 only went down to 25 at ISO 400.
Hi, can u solve this problem?
Please add some Hawaiian music to your videos. I miss Hawaii so much! Thanks!
I would add music but YT is pretty anal about copyright infringing, even if its not used commercially
You can speed up the music a little to avoid that issue I think?
But anyway, great video!
***** Tried that with this video: vimeo.com/121983083 YT slapped me with a strike. :(
Flying HI Best solution I've decided - after doing all the same tricks and coming close to strikes - is to just use music from the UA-cam library (which really isn't too bad) ua-cam.com/video/DrEec29XNk4/v-deo.html (P3 footage purely, ambient music) Or use music from local unpublished artists who happen to be awesome (Ok, not too many of them around) ua-cam.com/video/zoVMUHcJ4as/v-deo.html (P1 footage in a big edit, indie rock/punk music)
serious trust
Good job! :) Thumbs up :) Excellent flying skills! :)
Thanks for the quick response. My P3 arrives next week. I'm guessing it's challenging to judge exposure on your ISO or Android device?
Peter Carroll Ever since I've had a P2V+ I've always overridden my Android's "auto brightness" feature on it's screen. I always have it set to max brightness when flying to overpower any sunlight that might hit it. Not only that but the screen protector I have on it produces a lot of glare. So to answer your question, yes, it is hard to judge exposure. I imagine the same would hold true for Apple devices as well. I'm looking for a hood to put over my device when I fly.
Yes, quite steady for that kind of wind speed. Footage looks good. Seems like you set the exposure manually? So much of the early P3 sample footage is shot on auto exposure and washed out. Thanks for posting.
Peter Carroll This was shot at ISO 200 and shutter at 1/160. I had the settings dialed in right before take off but it seems the lighting changed on me and it got darker than I intended.
