L is Real is part of the mod, even though the song "Thalassophobia" will be replaced in MM Deluxe, the character will still be in the mod. Also, L is real is a Super Mario 64's creepypasta that has been around for more than 20 years.

I’m still shocked the mod in the background somehow used Wechidna on accident. Specifically because it happened with the original Noichi Remix as well.
It's less "on accident" and more that the timestamps on both Noichi Remix videos list the character as "Wechidna", probably because Chaotix's "Beast" form used the same chromatic as Wechidna's originally. (Well, that's simplifying it, but still.) So it's just Noichi not knowing the difference and people taking that timestamp literally instead of as intended.
