I tried to create a violin expression that is difficult to achieve with sampled instruments. original music: HOYO-MiX arrangement and MIDI programming: Mizuki Tachibana Free violin IR is applied to SWAM Violin. I used "CALCANI.wav". IR is here. (home page - Public Directory - IMP-RESP - Violins) pcfarina.eng.unipr.it/

wow so well done!
Great!
amazing...
Always fun to see that you still make SWAM arrangements❤
Saki's still got it! That smokey sweet romantic vibes worked that well for a jazzy chanson?! Thought that Natalia would steal it but Saki has a particular nostalgic and sad tinge that makes it interesting
Soothing calming instrumental❤
Very cool to see Felicia used in an original song!!?
Insane
Hi, great video! Do you know a book which can teach me how to transform simple piano rythms into something more jazzy like in your arrangment? Thanks
My question: does it know to play with breath on the first note of a legato run, but to omit the breath in the remainder of the run? So that if, say, I play a 5 note phrase then lift off the keyboard and immediately begin 7 note legato phrase, it inserts the breath noise only on notes one and six?
My hat 's off to you dear colleague - that is the top of the craft in terms of intuitive emulation of the real instrument! Wow! Truly phenomenal! Subscribed. PS: Check out my channel, we have a lot of musical things in common ;-)
Really cool use of her Powerful and Airy VMs!
this is a completely unorthodox method of programming a guitar 🥲
which guitar are you using!?
I used Django Gypsy Jazz Guitar (KONTAKT).
I love your arranging! I have a question if you would be so kind to help. On your Danny Boy video you have group vocals. When I do group vocals with synthesizer V I get a phasing effect because they are perfectly in tune. Your Danny Boy video sounds so realistic with no phasing. What techniques are you using so that the voices are not phasing, evidently there's something you can do within synthesizer V to adjust vibrato and pitch so it's not perfect? Or are you using other plugins?
Sorry, I missed your previous comment, so I will answer it here. There are two ways to avoid phasing effects in SynthV, one is to shift the timing of the pronunciation, the other is to change the pitch or apply a slight vibrato to the extent that it is hard to notice. In Danny Boy's video, several of the chorus parts are slightly vibrato, plus a slight shift in the timing of the pronunciation. If you zoom in on the screen and look at the notes in the piano roll, you will see that there are a few parts that are off by a few millimeters. No external plug-ins are used. I hope this helps.
@124aska wonderful information, thank you!

ありがとうございます!
Can't understand a word of it, [and just read that you made it up!] but gorgeous as always. Love your work. Your production values are top-notch.
Great piece of original work! Good job! Would love to hear more of this 😊
Are you using any detune effects? I've noticed when I stack synth v vocals the tuning is so perfect it sounds fake. Are you doing anything to counteract that?
Absolutely fantastic work.
The vocaloids did not age well
amazing.are you using swam violin on this one?
Sorry for the confusion, it is not SWAM Violin but Ample Sound China Erhu.
Amazing😍
I once saw someone using a swam violin/viola to imitate erhu, but I don't know how to do it. Would you like to try it?😝
Maestro es una obra de arte tu trabajo, felicidades
Probably the best tenor saxophone VST usage I have ever heard, and a beautiful arrangement. I saw in the comments that you input everything manually, without any type of controller. I compose in Sibelius for my musicians and have been seeking a way to improve the sound of MIDI audio files. Does importing large MIDI scores into SWAM sound feasible or would adding CC commands be a brutal undertaking for dozens of instruments per song? I reached out to Audio Modeling but haven't heard back so I'm hoping someone with experience can advise if SWAM is the best alternative to other libraries like VHorns. I can't afford to hire my musicians to record everything live and need to create excellent audio on my own. Thanks in advance!
Thank you for your comments. >Does importing large MIDI scores into SWAM sound feasible or would adding CC commands be a brutal undertaking for dozens of instruments per song? The answer to both questions is “Yes”. However, importing MIDI into SWAM should preferably be done on a DAW. Compared to other sampled instruments, SWAM instruments require more precise writing of the CCs, or else the expression will be more musically expressionless. If you want to achieve a moderate result without much CC, sampled instruments will probably give you a better result. On the other hand, if you want to be particular about musical expression, SWAM instruments are probably better suited for you. SWAM instruments are originally suited for real-time recording of MIDI using breath controllers, etc., and wind players, for example, can easily create appropriate musical expressions. There are probably very few people like me who handwrite all their CCs. As you probably know, hand-writing CCs for SWAM is very time consuming. I think you should consider the labor and effort involved and decide whether sampled instruments or SWAM instuments are better suited for you. Also, the more instruments in SWAM, the higher the CPU load, so please consider the PC specifications. I hope this helps.
@@124aska, your reply was very helpful, yes, thank you for your detail and quickness! Doing as much as possible in Sibelius is vastly preferable since musicians will perform my arrangements at live shows and the notation has to be gig ready. Importing MIDI from Sibelius into Pro Tools and trying to make VSTs interpret everything as well as they sounded in the notation software has always been disappointing. Endless hours of modifying MIDI is like having to write entire arrangements again from scratch in a different language. I've wondered if it might be easier to add CC information to the sheet music in Sibelius so that by the time Pro Tools receives those MIDI files, a VST will better know what to do with it. My familiarity with MIDI in a DAW is extensive, but I have yet to make much effort to add commands in just the notation. SWAM and VHorns are the two libraries vying to be my next horn libraries. I've had the old pre-SWAM horn instruments for over a decade but was never able to tweak satisfactory realism from them. The realism of your tenor work here makes me lean toward SWAM, but from what I've read, VHorns sounds impressive with far less editing. Glad to see your work is inspiring many online. Your experience is valuable to many of us, please keep at it!
Gorgeous arrangement and vocal tuning. This is one of the most beautiful songs of all time.
Those strings!
Excellent arranging and programming! What string library did you use? Is it CSSS?
Thank you! I used CSSS.
SynthV Feliciaさん 高域の伸びが気持ちいい! 本当にパワフルですね、ミュージカルでもオペラでも行けそう!
ありがとうございます!使ってみた感じオペラはちょっと難しいかもしれませんが、ミュージカルはいけそうですね。
Excellent programming as always! I particularly like the orchestration here!
Bravo!!

What is your CC64 pedal for?Why do you need sustain?
SWAM Violin's CC64 is also a function of Detache (bow change). Here I used CC64 for bow change.
Dear Mr Tachibana, where can we find a full score of your arrangement? can we purchase score and parts?! Incredible work!!
Beautiful!!! How can I get the sheets?
como puedo adquirir este plugin del saxofon?
You can buy it here. audiomodeling.com/swam-engine/solo-woodwinds/swam-saxophones/
Hi! The sound is gorgeous What strings library you are using here?
Thank you, this is Cinematic Studio Strings (KONTAKT).
This is great! I'm just curious how you set up the SWAM Violin w/the IR. Two separate channels?
Thank you! this is one channel, the plugin with the IR loaded was inserted into the SWAM Violin track with the Wet 100% setting.
@@124aska how did you mute the SWAM violin. I've tried this on Reaper, and I can't seem to have just the IR sound.
@@alexanderyaroslavich2703 Sorry, I have never used Reaper so I can't answer your question. In a typical DAW, just setting up the previous comment will only output the sound through the IR, no need to set up mute. Or some plugins that load IR may have a setting that outputs the original sound along with Wet, so muting that may solve your problem. Sorry I cannot be of more help.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!! One thing I’d want to mention is that you pronounced archon wrong. It’s pronounced Arkon, but I feel like the way you said it fits in with the syllables more, so don’t beat yourself up about it ❤
I am not very good at English, so your advice is very helpful. Thank you very much!
It's super impressive how you can achieve this realism with sound samples. Using EQ to get sul tasto and sul ponticello is very cool. Also lovely composition.
WOULD LIKE TO KNOW SOME GUITAR VST RECOMMENDATION TO
You got a new Sub Thanks!!!
My Saki chan sings very well. Your Saki chan also sings very well with beautiful strings.👍 Your channel is almost at 900 subscribers. Mine is barely reaching 70. I'm so jealous. Ha Ha Ha 😃
Nice string writing.
Omg some of those passages in the middle of the piece 🤩
Oh wow, this sounds truly amazing, what mic settings did you use in CSS?
Thank you, the microphone positions are just turned on for Spot 1, Spot 2, and Main, and the Pan and Volume values for each microphone are defaults.
@@124aska Thank you!
you did very well here with Natalie :D I have her, too, such a great voice.
