Sulphur Comparadun

In this video, our volunteer Fabio Malaspina shows you how to tie a "Sulphur Comparadun” dry fly. The Comparadun style fly is a dry fly built with no hackle. The lack of hackle allows this fly to ride low on the surface of the water but stay buoyant due to the implementation of deer hair for the wing. This is a fly that you can use to target trout. The Sulphur mayfly is a member of the order Ephemeroptera (mayflies) and is found within the family Ephemerellidae (spiny crawler mayflies) and the genus Ephemerella (which also includes Sulphurs, Pale Morning Duns, and Hendricksons).

Thread: 10/0 Light Cahill
Hook: Dry fly 1x long dry fly hook size 14 down to 16. I used a Daiichi 1180 size 14
Tails: Grey fibbets
Body: Sulphur dry fly fine dubbing
