I havent watched the movie in years and dont remember much, beside it being way worse than the animated show, and I also didnt make it past episode 4 of the Netflix show.. But given the movies overall hate it is so funny to me that the movie can still be considered better than the Netflix version in multiple aspects. Just from the few clips you showed the movie looks WAY BETTER despite its age, also movie Yue is STUNNING.

The whole wokeness segment is wrong all of that is from the cartoon

Had to take a few breaks but got through it! Congrats on completing another garbage time show!🎉 How about trying the The Brothers Sun or BEEF on Netflix, I couldn’t get past the first episode of TBS but BEEF was great!

Absolutely brilliant, u sir, r amazing, thanks for suffering for us, and breaking down each episode, season 2 should be even more fun, with Toph, (one of my favorite characters from the series), Aang having to learn water bending, and earth bending in one season...Topham's whole personality is gonna be a fun watch, the bad a*s attitude, bluntness, her making fun of her own blindness, that should be a fun seaso6, wonder on a scale of 1-10, how badly there gonna ruin season 2.🤔😅

The Avatar live special is bitter sweet. It's kinda sorta cool... until you get to the part of the episode that shocks you out of immersion with the woke wrench thrown into the plot... then 15 minutes later it wears off and it's cool again... but always waiting for the next wrench.

Had Katara been a rule breaker from the get go, maybe it would have worked like in the animated show, but here it makes no sense. Did they write the scripts over night and had no time for edits? SMH…

Another hilarious and real video, the contradictions the LA show has are ridiculous, and just shows how little the director cared about the context of everything, wondering if the next 2 seasons will improve on the formula at all, worried they're gonna ruin Toph, they've already ruined the rest of the cast, lol. 🤦🏾‍♂️😅

I just don’t understand what happened in this production, they seem to be racing through the story beats but they are all off key, like they wrote the script off a bunch of sticky notes without any character development or storyline… I have no idea how you have the stamina to watch this show..

All they had to do, was follow the storyline from the OG series, they could change how the characters get to their destination, character growth etc, but not the end results of it, they could've put 3 episodes of the OG series in each of the Netflix episodes and it'd total out to the same length, they were lazy, and just didn't care about being true to the spirit of the show, Azula is supposed to be extremely intelligent, the best of anyone else who comes up against her, witty, fierce, competent, terrifying, yet calm and collected, and extremely good in hand to hand combat, as well as tactical planning, my favorite antagonist next to Ozai in the series and this show ruined her. 😞

I got brain rot watching this series. This is just a stupid product for those corporates who just wants to feed off by leeching onto our nostalgia. They really got no heart to give to their works anymore.

This episode killed the series for my family, it was too much of a departure from the spirit of the original show and drove us away. Even as a throw away show to watch while we had a meal, we switched to watching Sweet Tooth which was a way better show and never looked back.

The only thing I could think of why they swapped in Kiyoshi is because they might want a spin off based on the novel “The Rise of Kiyoshi” but it’s just wonky and takes away from Aang’s story. Wait till you see what they did with Bumi.. that’s as far as I could stand to watch.

13:05 You know what would make more sense having the yangchen holiday that airbenders celebrate be the focus of the airbenders traveling and not the comet. That would have been a better product placement of the statue. Also NOT having every single airbender come to one specific place to celebrate. Like they all were preparing to nomad to the Western air temple which IS IN THE FIRE NATION. Probably a bad idea especially if they KNOW that war is coming. Side note I've said this before in other reviews but putting SO MUCH focus on Aang's past lives specifically only FOUR makes other avatars of the past seem worthless or unimportant. That's WHY it is so important to focus on AANG rather than his multiple past lives. Of course though having Roku be his guide is what's MOST important seeing as he and Sozen started the war. Just add small parts of his other past selfs coming into the story like the original. Heck throw in some new characters if you want. Let's face it though this show didn't have the guts to write a good story plot even with the source material right in their faces.

I also feel conflicted watching this show, so many things look right, but just within the first 15 minutes there are huge deviations from the original show that cut deep into the lore.. the air nomads were pacifists, which is why they were the first to be annihilated, seeing them fighting made no sense. The character personalities don’t have any flaws to over come like in the original so it’s probably going to be a long boring ride..
