Brave man. What a song to attempt a cover of. Liked the sparse guitar, just try a new edit with some crashing dissonant chords at the beginning and the finale to give the gravitas that Peters piano does on the original. Kudos.

Where did you learn how to play this I’ve looked everywhere, this is my favorite nick drake song and I can’t find a single tutorial online.
Hey, thanks for reply. Im only playing an approximation of what ND did, it's only when you learn the tunes etc that you can appreciate just how good a picker he really was. He uses an upstroke to co-incide with the downstroke of the thumb, then immed followed by the picking of a 2 string chord with 2nd and 3rd fingers, this is effectively the rythmn and that's why he gets a much faster feel that i have. This tab added below should help with the tuning (it can also be played tuned to a full C, ie CGCGCE, but this tab is for tuning AADEBE capo 3rd, i didint play it with the capo. good luck. nickhealey.com/chndtabs/freeride.htm
