How to drill a hole in hard tile. Cordless drill, diamond dust hole saw, sponge, water and a piece of plywood for a good start. That's everything we need. We don't need an expensive set.

Lead slate is not too difficult. Welding doesn't take much more than ten minutes.

    Everybody got to start some where But watch a video on how to weld your flame is far to aggressive that why it doesn't look good you ne to add lead as you go in the form of 3 mm stripe you may want to invest into a better welding mixer All the best every day is a school day don't be happy with ,that will do, 👍

    Or to be more precise, some tiles stacked up on a roof, waiting to be laid. Pointless video.

      3 quarters of the roof is tiled? The video is showing you the completed tiling. Other tiles are loaded out ready to be layed. Are you a window licker ?

      @@davies3629 There is no act of tiling taking place per the video title - it just shows tikes stacked up. Sorry to hear about your struggles with English comprehension.

    • @davies3629
      @davies3629 3 роки тому

      @@hartleyjr tiling is the plural (tile/tiling) of layed tiles, also can be used as an adjective when laying the tiles. So the title and video is at no fault what so ever.

    Hi what tiles are these? I am thinking about 20/20 Sandtoft roof tiles for the roof of our house that are slightly smaller than these I guess. Do you have an experience of using them anywhere and what do think about them.

    It's always good when someone takes the trouble to make a careful video of a skilled job. So thank you. A couple of comments though. First, you could ditch the irritating and distracting percussion track that adds nothing. Second some cutaways shewing the burning gear and flame you are using. On the face of it you have a massive flame which would be hard to control and could cause burn-through and undercutting. You have no filler stick to supplement any puddle thinning that may occur. Third, your collar/upstand is already shaped: it would be good to see you lay that out. Fourth you do not mention what code you are using - I imagine Code 4. Fifth there is something to be said for keeping a piece of pipe in place to ensure distortion doesn't make later fitting difficult. Tack welding the upstanding first would useful. Thanks again though.i

      He is not soldering he is welding. Soldering is not suitable for exposed lead work like this. Soldering is also weak and liable to fracture with movement due to temperature differences
