Home defense shoutguns should have 'ejectors' not 'extractors.' - (Ejectors kick the shells out agressively; with extractors you have to pull the shells out...that way someone hunting with it aren't having to pick up their shells eveyrtime they go to reload.) - 🥊

I just switched to the M9 for a duty weapon for security work for the reason of it being a double action first shot to reduce the possibility of a negligent discharge. I didn't get much pistol training in the military and did more pistol training as a private security guard (Self sponsored) than I did in the infantry.

Can someone help me resolve my issue? I have a HHV Gen 2 + their pop in adapter and Walker Razors. I upgraded the pads which are supposed to have a better seal over ears in addition to added comfort. My problem is that they do not seal completely over my ears and do not provide ample hearing protection, especially at the lower ends. I push them in as far as I can and have no idea how to make them fit over my ears any better. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I've had my glock 23 gen 3 since 2013 or 2014. Best pistol I've owned. Little odd for me to carry so I went with a hellcat to cover that base. But for everything else my 23.

IIRC the bulgarian surplus ammo IS Corrosive. That looked like bulgarian 7n6 ammo in that spam can. The 7n6 is the steel core AP ammo with a small air pocket in the tip under the jacket. Russian 7n6 has a mild steel core that's covered in lead and jacketed. The bulgarian is better because if the production age is correct it's actually got a hardened steel core that covered in lead and jacketed. I'd try to save as much of that bulgarian 7n6 as possible and just shoot something else. Never bother with soft point 5.45x39. The hornady red polymer tipped 5.45 has been good ammo for me, as well as standard FMJ WPA, Tula, monarch, silver bear, and rdmed army standard. I dont shoot my 7n6 ammo becausevit is corrosive and it eats up steel targets and why run corrosive AP ammo on paper? Save that stuff for a SHTF situation. 5.45x39 already will penetrate more that m855 5.56, 308 FMJ and 7.62x39. I've seen more than one test of same barrel length saiga and similar guns chambered in each round and the 5.45x39 has always penetrated more than the others except on real thick solid steel targets. If you need to penetrate thick steel then use the bulgy 7n6 ammo because that's what it was made for. Enjoy the 74. I've always loved the 74 and 5.45x39 round. 7.62x39 is nice too. I've been a dealer lo g enough that I remember when 7n6 was 100$ per case and and you could get an AK for around 300$ while the cheapest wholesale price on an AR15 was $650 and you weren't getting any AR10 (308) for under 1000$. Now it's all flipped around and you can have a reliable AR15 for 400$ but you wont get into an AK platform that functions for under 900$. I.o. inc is junk in all calibers and despite what the wannabe gun guys claim a century AK might have a canted sight every now and then (happens with riley's too) most century AKs do run and work for a long time. I have 4k round wasr10 that I bought with a full kit (cleaning kit, metal oil/solvent bottle, 4 mag pouch (useless rock hard leather), cleaning rod, three 30rnd steel mags, and numbers matching bayonet) for 350$ which was the common retail price anywhere for a wasr10. Its never given me any problems and isnt close to worn out. They had issues with a few of their tantal builds because of a bad barrel supplier but my century m74 sporter has proven to be every bit as reliable as my waffen werks AK74. Both were built on bulgarian parts kits. I got the WW74 at the peak of their quality and then I got the century m74 right before they all dried up and they stopped offering them. I'm currently looking around for another 74 and my friend has a riley defense Rak74 and he hasn't had any complaints out of it other than the cost and availability of 5.45 ammo since he got it around the same time this video was made. Not sure what I'll go with but I may pick up the IWI galil ace gen2 5.45x39. It basically twice what the riley costs but I know they are very accurate and extremely reliable, (investment grade) guns. I just wish I could have gotten the 13" barreled version before the gov decided to screw around with braces again and now you never see those. 5.45 velocity is better from the 16" barrel anyways. If you havent been in this game for 20 years you should look up retro adds from 2004-2010 but the prices might make you cry. I remember when dealers were bitch when 5.56 hit 36cents per round wholesale because they thought people wouldnt buy it. I've see obama era panick buying push 5.56 to 2$ per round at gun shows and cheap ARs were 2500$ and century AKs were running over 1500$ and most two day gun shows would sell out on the first day and these were 150+ vendor shows. When the AWB was allowed to lapse in 2004 AKs and surplus ammo was dirt cheap. You could get a myosin nagant and two cases of surplus 7.62x54R for 89$. We'll never see those prices again thanks to obama banning russian ammo and guns in 2013 (yes if you have russian ammo it's in a warehouse in the US since 2013). Between that and bidenomics making the dollar worth about 30 cents now things will only gets worse and most of the parts kits the US was getting is being g wasted on the war between ukraine and Russia (which anyone with a brain knows Ukraine cant win). I di t have a dog in that fight but math is math and Ukraine has been drafting homeless old men and mental detectives and throwing them at the front lines. It's a giant meat grinder and the propaganda that is pushed in the US is just an insane level of make believe. As usual government stupidity ruins the fun for all of us.
