You beautiful bastard. I've been fighting with my EG4 settings and it all went clear immediately when, with your video, I realized my dip switches were opposite of what they were suppose to be. I thought the dark areas were the shadows, not the switch nob.

I saw where changing dip switches on another brand of rack battery, requires you to reboot it by turning it off for 10-20 seconds. I just added this note incase anyone is having that issue.

thank you for your channel. I am new eg4 user that had his gear in his shop two years prior to install. My support has been stellar but its now post Covid and their growing pains have alleviated quite a bit. I hope its better now for folks that know way more than me. I was concerned but they have been super so far!

Thanks for the video, but too late, I've got the same batteries except the 4 bit dip switch version. I already changed the dip switches and now I can't get the tool to read the data from the batteries (6). One has an alarm and is in Protection mode fr some reason. I've tried every dip setting and power cycled after changing it. Really frustrating...

I would also mention that the firmware updates killed comm ports, on some batteries. Furthermore, there is a firmware version 3.7 that cannot be updated. I blame the Chinese, and the gullibility of the EG4 staff, for not getting quality control established, and *under* control. It wouldn't have cost much more to make these manuals in color. Would have prevented a whole lot of lost time and frustration on the part of their customers. At this point, I don't think they care.

it is because the rain, usually rain takes away the sweetness and for the fig to rebuild up the sweetness again 2 days to leave it on the tree lol

What zone are you in? I have around 150 fig trees in pots, mostly 2 to 3 year old trees with about 50, 1 year old's. Hoping to plant maybe have in the ground this fall.

I went with what I know. The manuals show the dip switches where lite color is up or dark color is up so…4 position dip switches. Left to right..1,2,3 and 4. Count..1…..2….4…8. 1 in dip switch 1. Up. 15 is all dip switch’s up. Etc. it’s a binary count left to right. I have three different EG4 48 volt batteries and they finally all talk together and talk to my SolArk

The fact that its a spitting image of the m22 dymo-mite goes to show how well designed was the model 22....its literaly a heirloom item and i love it

Thank you, set my voltage to 57.4 temporarily on my Schneider charge controller and 3 of my batteries jumped to 100% from 69%, 51%, 50%. Horray. Too bad this isn't in the manual.

Ss solor need to standby there lifepower battery.i have two. 24volt 200amp bms shouting down. Under 8 month old. Do not by ss solor lifepower battery's bms problems. Ss solor update do not work.ss solor just give you the run around. If you can talk to some one.the best thing is to not by anything fron ss solor .fine a place the standbehine there battery

Just went through this nightmare. Days of trouble shooting, is it the cable, the dip switches or the inverter!? Printed manual and the online manual are clearly different.

You’ll want to put the irrigation in if you want to insure good fruit production from your trees. Be careful of infiltrating water close to or above your house foundation as it could potentially breach and debilitate your structure over time. Love the log built terraces, they have a cool look to them.

Would you consider Alma as having commercial potential? Either for fresh eating or more for processing into jams or for drying. I’m interested in the low seed crunch, potentially lower seed content, hybrid vigor and it’s overall uniqueness. Curious to know your take, definitely one I’ll be growing lots of in the future.

Use the wheel to feed the tape, not clicking. Every click leaves a slight embossing.

Very nice , I grew up with huge fig trees and I've got several that are 12-15 foot tall and full. It seemed as though the young people bought the older homes cut down the fig trees down and it seemed our southern heritage was being lost... so in early 2000 we decided to make it our mission to bring the fig tree back to as many backyards possible. We have bought, sold, traded and given many fig trees. Thanks for sharing this video! I love to hear what other people think about the different fig varieties.😊

If you search for the term "EG4 fail" you'll find many video's regarding issues with these inverters. Just curious if you're having these same problems?

I set my absorption to 57volts and float at 54.4 and i have no problem

Why do people keep buying this thing?

So why did EG4 discontinue this inverter only a year after its introduction? Too many problems with this EG4 inverter?
