Funny
Why are they under ground isn’t that inconvenient- I’m from a different country where they are above ground and it’s illegal to park in front of them
They are valves on the water network, The fire service are trained to access them quickly with special standpipes. This keeps them out of the way when not needed whilst ensuring they are still available when required
They denote that the letter H isn't 'haich'
Sorry but they are just tasteless ! and I'm sure you could have squeezed at least four more in ! think you have just spoilt Northrepps ! no good to me I like my woodburner !
Keep up the good work dad love you ❤❤ xxx
Crazy from an American perspective how small British standpipes are. Is that 2.5” pipe? Do attack crews exclusively use 1.5” (“40mm”) hose? The kind of flow I’d assume you get from that system would be what in the US would only be considered adequate for occupant use, like British hose reels but a little bigger.
Hi there, thanks for your query. Brian Walshe, our Head of Fire Safety, replies: Attack crews use appliance hose reels, 45mm and 70mm lay flat hose. The lay flat house terminates with 2.5” instantaneous couplings. Hope that answers your query!
It's not so much the rent increase on our site. It's the fact that the communal electric has gone up so much. For 28 to 31 bedsits you will be getting well over 7k a year just for outside and stairwell lights. We were paying 26p a month now we are paying 20.98 a month. Also your outside light on the community room is on 24/7
Hello T2T4, thanks for your feedback. Please could you contact Customer Services direct so that we can look into this for you? We are not able to identify your tenancy from your ID above and so we are unable to log your comments on our Customer Services system. Thank you www.broadlandgroup.org/contact-us/
I do realise rent has to go up just like many things , I've been a tenant for 8 years and broadland have been fantastic to us, we are so lucky to be in a broadland property, thankyou to all for the work you do 😊
Yes the rent has gone up 7% but Communal Charges are up 77.22% and Personal Charges up 87.87%. Monthly rent up 24.59% on last year. Our rent will increased by £117.76 a month, meaning I now will have to find an extra £201.76 a month out of my OAP which will increase only by £61.52 per month. Lot of difference there to pay to rent this tiny flat. Last Tuesday, 3 brand new Broadland vans were in our car-park.....................
Hi Pam, thanks for your feedback re your new Service Charge. We have logged your comments on our Customer Services system and will look into this for you.
A golden look from the point of view of the renter's hardships. Very educational video.
I remember seeing an AFA here in Norwich, two pumps in attendance.
Many thanks for the information. I live in a BHA flat, when the flats fire door is closed and locked I still see light entering from the communal landing around parts of the door. Can we replace the door/draft seal without effecting the fire seal?
Hi James, thanks for your feedback and query. We are unable to identify tenants from comments posted on UA-cam. Please could you report your concern to Customer Services, so this can be looked into for you asap? Thanks, Bernie

Hi Tiffany, we are sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing. We have logged this message on our Customer Services system for attention ASAP. Kind regards, Bernie
Thank you, Michael. As always Broadland Housing take their responsibility to the community, residents and staff seriously. Covid19 will not go away on Monday 19 July. As cases in Norwich and Norfolk rise, we all have a responsibility to protect those around us.
Thanks for giving us your feedback, James
How about seriously upgrading the oldest properties. New roof put on nearly two years ago was told they were going to inspect the properties afterwards. They never did now multiple cracks have appeared.
The Decent Homes Standard hasn’t been reviewed since 2006! The Decent Homes Standard currently sets a low basic minimum standard for heating and insulation with a commitment to provide a “Reasonable Degree of Thermal Comfort” whatever that means. Social Rent Tenants deserve a higher standard than the outdated DHS. Write your own standard that meets expectations of both provider and tenants with all properties having a minimum EPC rating of "C".
- Dont assume - Look at things from the tenants perspective and the individuals journey. Good session
Thank you for being there for us when we need you
lovely :-) Happy Holidays
Many thanks
