Dak plays like Tony. Thats what i wanted... someone who would risk everything in or out of the pocket to get the touchdown. Romo was so much better than the bad moments. He got us through the bad times. Now we get to relish in the good

There’s a reason why when all that stuff was coming out about the Mavs front office the women said the locker room was the safest place for them. It’s because it was Dirks locker room and the guy is 100% class.

I love these "Boys" tributes to a guy who failed about 50% of the time when a playoff spot/seeding or playoff game was on the line. In those games, he had a 6-8 record with 20 TDs to 19 TOs. Wow, how clutch! Not to mention his inability to stay on the field (missed 37 games over 10 years). To you "Boys" stans, don't bother with a weak reply or lame excuses (he sucked) - I will ignore you.

For everyone who thinks that Romo is a choker, in most games, don't look at his screw-up to end the game. Look back a few minutes earlier and you'll probably see someone else that really lost the game and as good as Romo is, he's still only one man. A clear cut case of this is 2006 vs Seattle in the playoffs. Everyone remembers the fumbled snap. But, no one talks about 5 minutes earlier in the game when the Cowboys were up by 7 with 6 minutes to go, with the ball. The Cowboys started on their own 2 yard line and Romo threw to Crayton on the 4. He is stripped and the ball goes out of the end zone for 2 points. 4 plays later, the Seahawks have a TD after the free kick. ZERO of which had to do with Romo, but all the fingers pointed at him.

The “body weight” rule on sacks seemed stupid at first but there was lots of unnecessary punishment on QBs who were in defenseless positions when tackled.

A real coach would have given his team back to him in '16 when he was healthy. He earned that right. Aikman gets injured and Steve Beuerlein replaces him and plays very well winning a road playoff game. The next week in the divisional round against Detroit, Aikman is cleared to play and Hall of Fame coach Jimmy Johnson gives the reigns back to Troy. Tony should have been given one last opportunity to pursue a championship. Tony was a great player and one of the toughest qbs ever to play the game.

Funny, I'm a UNC fan and more of a college basketball fan in general. Not even a pseudo-Mavs fan or along those lines. We offered this kid from Oklahoma (Brady Manek) a few hours ago and I came to UA-cam to checkout his game. Instantly I thought of Dirk, as I'm guessing he modeled his jumper after him. Next thing I knew, I've spent the last two hours watching Dirk highlights and it ultimately led me here. First off, well done. Strong Friday Night Lights vibes and I mean that in the most positive way possible. I don't normally comment on videos, but this one compelled me to say I've always admired Dirk's perseverance from afar. His basketball story is something that seems so rare in this new NBA world. Where you have players jumping from team to team, after their rookie deal, trying to create a bunch of mini-super-teams with their buddies like it's AAU. Or some taking their supermax and then forcing a trade... I probably sound like an oldhead and that's fine. Dirk's champion is far more valuable than giving your team 2-3 years and trying it again for another franchise and I have zero issue fighting on that side of the argument. If he never won one like other greats did (including one featured in this video), so what? Championships are something to be earned. Bravo, Dirk. He earned his and all the respect he gets for who he was as a basketball player and person.

Tony Romo was the type of player that if you think back when you was a kid playing with friends or amongst other guys, Tony was the type of guy that would not quit, he played with heart and gave it 110 % out on that field every chance you had to play, because of the love for the game. Tony Romo is the kind of guy everyone wants on his team, because he has no quit in his vocabulary, he has no lets just play and get paid attitude, Tony had a Raw talent that he developed because he worked very hard to get where he was, Tony didn't have the GOD given talent, Tony had the GOD given heart to do something he loved and had a passion for. Tony work hard and at times made it look so easy out on that field, so Tony earned everything he worked hard for and deserved to be in a SUPER BOWL . Tony Romo was my QB and I would pick him over any QB to play on any GOD given Sunday. Tony you will be missed, Thank you for the great memories of your scrambles and 4th Qtr. comebacks, especially against teams in your Division and those other NFL Teams we disliked. GOOD LUCK TONY, #9 in your hearts!

Dirk carried his team to championship without any other all star in his team, he stayed and remained loyal to Dallas Mavericks, the guy even took paycuts just to let his other teammates play on the court. He is and will always be a champion on whatever court.
