The passer by wasn't a paid actor, but I bet the chicken was
what kind of stand is that and what do you have it hooked to? Are you behind a dumb trailer or is that hooked to a truck?
it mounted to a swing away gate on the back of a dump truck , here is a better view of it ua-cam.com/video/VBD54QRGF_g/v-deo.htmlsi=ZGiAM-2o3Q1OIyY-
45’d the angle or rounded out that mount to the bed just to minimize the stress points when the bed flexes but I’m no engineer great video 👍🏽😎
Great job!
@@fairacres6601 appreciate it, thank you!! 👍🏼
Thank you for this I had the exact same issue, and your video worked perfectly for my saw. Not only did it fix the leak but it ran so much better, this could partially be to my primer build being trashed.
@@bmnnoon glad to hear it helped you out, thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback 👍🏼
Bon Boulo 😆😆👍👍
I thought hey alright someone building something that actually has half a brain, until measure 17" on the floor and eyeball the center line on the cross member on the floor. Just measure 17" from the center line on the cross member each way and line the rail up with the 2 17" marks.
Everyone worries about those damn rivets. There isn't a thing wrong with the rails sitting on top of the rivets.
MUY BONITO TRABAJO
Thank you !!
Where do you dump in your area do you know how much a full load way
Where I used to live there was a gravel/mulch yard that took leaves, it used to be like $10 a truck load but I haven't lived there in 3 years, I'm sure the prices have gone up
Nice work for the limited tools you have. I made my own beds as well, but all of them dump. I could not live without a dumping bed.
@@tjs_welding_and_fabrication Thanks for the comment, the only reason I didn’t make it a dump is because I already have a dump truck and have no need for a second one, this one is going to carry my tractor bucket and attachments so I can load them from the side.
Excellent video: exactly step by step, no unnecessary talking, no music that does nothing for me except make it very hard to hear instructions, and the part identified at the beginning of the video where I can go back and find it. All this made me subscribe. Exactly how a how-to video should be made. My free (!) 455 has this exact problem, now I can fix easily, thanks!!!
@@allegory7638 Thanks for the comment, hope it solves your problem, I also have another video showing how to fix a very common fuel leak on this saw as well, just for future reference 👍🏼
all the critical steps are there. Thanks
@@jdorenbosch Hope it helped you out! 👍🏼
if I had done that to my chainsaw it would be in the trash by now. I would have many leftover parts on my table
I see your wearing your Sally pants @ 5:30 while using a cutting torch! Typical Yuppie outfit.
quick question, I know you welded on the little blocks to clear the rivet, is there a reason why you didn't just drill a hole in the flange of the channel to clear that rivet? allowing the full length of the channel flange to sit on the truck rail?
@@adventurefilms honestly, no particular reason, I guess it was just faster and easier, this bed is not gonna hold a ton of weight so I’m not too worried, also you could always put a spacer in the middle as well if you think it would become a problem with sagging at all, Later on my videos, you will see where I kind of change up the mounting, there will be one video coming out a every week, be sure to hit that subscribe button so when the new videos come out, you’ll be notified But also answer your question, drilling out part of the channel would work as well
Exactly my issue thank you very much for the great camera angles step by step instructions my 455 rancher runs like a dream now

Thank you. Mine is a 435, and it started leaking every time I fill the tank.Doent seem to leak while running, but the tank will empty when it's being stored. I'll work on it tomorrow and let you know if I can get it fixed. Thanks again. Very concise video.
@@garyl.phillips9401 hope it works out for you 👍🏼
I would replace all fule lines and return bulb at the same time , just replace one is like a ticking time bomb 💡 Do the job right the first time something Americans lack 🤔 Ww2 looks like a waste of time too
And the fuel filter
I spend a lot of time fixing small engines and motorcycles. I use a lot of UA-cam videos for things. I’m not familiar with. This is 100% the best video I’ve seen in many years. From beginning to end you show exactly what needs to be done. it was exactly the fix I needed and would have taken me hours to figure out, thank you and good luck with your future
@@jamesstreicher2398 Thank you!!, glad it helped you out 👍🏼
Wonderful camera work and exceptional narrating of each step. Everything stayed in focus and the disassembly / reassembly was done without the hands getting in the way. Great job!
@@loubedoo2129 glad you liked the video, hope it helped you out 👍🏼
The aluminum plate should have been replaced, looks like it is worn badly at the bottom as well as the short tube that transfers the oil from the pump to the bar. Hardly no cost and could be worn. I would replace the needle bearing cage and the worm gear as well. The saw looks like it has been used quite a bit and these things will sooner or later wear out, may as well do it while you have it torn down. Great video, really showed the steps with great up close shots.
I watched a lot of instructional videos to fix things. This has to be one of the best explained to a lay person I have seen. Every aspect covered from taking apart, fixing, and reassembly. Most videos just say reverse the process putting it back together. I give you an A++ on this. By the way this is exactly the problem I am currently having with mine. Probably my fault for not always using N/A gas. Thanks!!
@@gregkonrad4058 Thanks for the comment, hope it helped you out!! 👍🏼
Excellent video - straightforward n' clear. The only deviation I did was to completely remove the fuel cap and gently shake my rancher with the fuel tank opening pointing down and the remainder of the broken hose fell out. Handy if you dont have some offset needle-nose pliers or your needle nose pliers just weren't long enough to grab the broken piece of hose. Good stuff man - keep em' comin'.

Also, when i bought my 450 rancher new, I'd assume that the saw sat on the shelf at the store for so long, it dry rotted, only used it 3 times, oil leaked everywhere

Don’t understand why you would use a grapple to fill in a hole & not the bucket ? 🤷♂️
both calipers come together when you ordered them?
@@chuckgilbert2035 I don’t know if that’s the case when you ordered them, I picked them up directly from the Scagg dealership
It would be hard to improve on what you did in this video. The alternative is to spend probably 50 to 100 dollars at a repair shop to replace a 2 dollar fuel hose. It is a time consuming job that requires some patience and hand skill with the small parts, so not a job for everybody. Big thank you for the fine tutorial.
