I just subscribed, so don’t know if you’ve played this, but I kept thinking about the game Storyteller and how some of the elements are the same. Nice job figuring this all out.

I’ve got to stop watching your vids, as I spent the whole time shouing, “Over there! Look over there!” I’d never heard of this game before, but I’m definitely going to buy it.

That was more interesting than I expected. I don’t usually like room escape games, but this had a lovely steampunk feel to it. The only thing I didn’t like was having to read the newspaper right at the start. I’m sure they could have voice-acted that part.

Thank you for playing this game - This was one of the most stressful videos I have ever watched. I don't think I'd ever be able to play this by myself, so I thank your bravery for playing this! It's a really well-made game, and I really enjoyed the scares; I think the game specifies *moving* things (hence why the upside-down stuff wasn't a danger) - but I do think it's a bit frustrating sometimes, although it could be to do with the brightness of the cabin. Anyhow, this was a really enjoyable watch and you were great at playing it, I enjoyed your commentary - Made me feel less afraid. This was just all around great, and I think your character is one of the children from the cabin (which is why the frog toy turns up at her place at the end; She was one of the children!)

The congregator of flesh gave me Buzz (the first boss of Spyro 3) vibes. Agreed, what a garbage boss fight. Almost impossible to tell what he's doing. His tells are so poorly handled (and sadly that is a reoccurring thing in this game)

As someone from Dunfermline, I always wondered what it was about the Edinburgh accent that bugged me - but i really think It's the overly pronounced Ts. It's so stilted. As for the all-in-one Scottish guy in the game, yeah, he has a bit of a no-man's land of an accent for sure, though in a way i kind of relate. I don't speak ned, and i don't speak like a posh git, so i have a bit of a nowhere accent because of it too. I am so glad it's not a foreigner doing their best impression. That's always cringe...

Watched another person's play through and it became obvious that you missed a lot of things not pushing the brightness up. They had it so bright everything from the warehouse and details inside and out of the cabin were clearly visible. So the bed in the corner you said was too dark to have any movement in one has a hand reaching out from underneath.

i loved watching you play the original golden idol game, coming home after a long shift to realize you're playing this new one made my entire day!

Oh this was a blast! Also a really great horror game? It's quite simple but manages to make you never feel safe despite it being the same location over and over, cuz certain events aren’t consistent on whether they’re safe or not (radio one at the beginning is safe, but the emergency call one is danger, man not at the table is danger, but the lady not in the painting is safe, etc). Also also, near the end I just started to guess 50/50 as early as possible, as guessing the correct answer first nets you 10 extra points and is more reliable than guessing last (listen if that fucking guy ran at me I’m not waiting around for twitch chat either). And when you’re the only one to accidentally get it right you just suck allll the points up, that’s what was going on at 48:06 and 1:00:40, no idea what the danger was XD. Anyway, super fun and would play again, hope you weren’t too rattled by the whole thing ^^

I like the way they've updated the UI, though having to always drag the words into their slots is going to become tedious I reckon haha

I must complain in the strongest possible manner. I am from Auld Reekie, Edingburgh, the capital of Scotland and I've only voted Tory... anyway, I am not English, I was teary eyed when ma'am died and lined the Royal Mile to see her one more time, and I might ask my friends sometimes that this time we should cheer England on in the football thing. [Jokes apart, I can get what they mean, too many Edinburgh Uni acquaintances ]

When that guy started chasing you I got so scared I started kicking my legs and legitimately got a cramp in my calf omfg

The clues on the construction site were just in the background art by the way, they tripped me up a bit too: There's stompy footprints on the ground but the cutter is out of order, and the pipe has a big wrecking ball dent in it. Then for the bodies on the tables you can work out which table is which based on the causes of death and the wounds on the bodies. Loved this game, some of the scenes/puzzles felt a bit disconnected at first but they always come together at the end of the chapter.

Just fyi, there's never any real guesswork needed. Everything can be deduced - often in multiple ways. Great video! This was a goty for me :D

So excited you're doing the second game! It gives you the option to skip chapter 1 because the demo was chapter 1 so it saves you replaying it I really enjoy the overreaching chapter stories too "The police is one of the few corruption free entities we have" *looks into the camera like you're on the office 😂 I look forward to chapter 2

wonderful charity. when i worked in Childrens Hospital Oakland pediatric ICU the hospital had TVs & VCRs on big wheel-around carts for the kids [yes, ages ago]. they were really nice to have.

It seems a bit like a cross between Paper's Please and one of those Overcooked-type games where you have to serve customers while a timer ticks down, so while the stakes are lower the stress seems about the same!! It looks pretty addictive, I'm interested to see what other aspects of the game you see as you continue on 🤔
