Sonic Generations' Weirdest Script Change
Sonic Generations Remaster features quite the number script changes, covering an honestly plentiful variety, but rather than focus on the social changes I was particularly intrigued by the changes that seem to come from nowhere, but have perhaps the greatest impact on the overall experience.

The BEST Route in Shadow the Hedgehog
Переглядів 4182 місяці тому
My rough journey to discover the best story route in Shadow the Hedgehog (2005)
Can't freaking believe there's actually a path that makes sense and ties into the final story reasonably well. I've started playing this game on emulator recently, and (like many others do now lol) found that the game was overhated and actually plays good and is pretty fun. Branching paths, even if I do like them and the idea itself, however, are very undercooked, and plenty of stage transitions (especially when you do different hero and dark missions) don't really make a whole lotta sense. Devs are absolute madlads for naming EVERY possible combination of paths though, completing my first playthrough and getting "Punisher of love", even if I don't understand what it's supposed to mean, it still sounds badass, so I'm happy lol. Hey, this is hella good and structured for your first video, I've enjoyed watching it. You should definitely do the one for the goofiest or nonsensical path(s) in the game, there are gonna be lots of contenders lmao. My favorite "Wait, how did we come to this?" moment is whenever we reach lava shelter level without playing through iron jungle. You're doing some unrelated hero or villain stuff, suddenly, Shadow "realizes" that he's a copy and an android, and is just out for Eggman's blood, like damn, poor scientist isn't gonna make it in any ending from that point on
@velocilevon Thanks a ton for the kind words, and yeah I really missed seeing all of the crazy nonsensical combinations you can make, and by eliminating all of the evil options early I couldn't explore some of the most iconic scenes. I definitely need to keep playing and find some more notable routes that meet different criteria like goofy and maybe also most evil.
The delivery of that what is such a meme
Pretty solid reasoning
The Android thing is mentioned in the final ending though if you survive the boss fight for long enough you get special dialogue. Even though it doesn't specifically say Android the way the thing they talk about could mean two things
At least the second level in the middle actually has more in it I'm pretty sure has more enemies than there are you need to kill
3:45 that isn't entirely true there are a couple cutscenes that only trigger on certain levels if another thing has already happened
@lyndsaypeters5981 For example? That's very interesting but I didn't notice anything myself so please let me know some occurrences of this.
@@Jsonspendulum I believe the only cutscene that changes depending on the previous level you did to reach it is the cutscene leading into The Doom. Even then it is purely a cosmetic change and nothing else, the dialog in it remains the exact same. If you come from the neutral mission of Cryptic Castle the cutscene will take place during a late sunset, but if you come from Prison Island's dark mission it'll take place during the middle of the day.
@@Jsonspendulum The only time i can think of this happening is the Eclipse Cannon firing on Central City (one of the pre-rendered cutscenes), you can only get that if you go from "The Ark" to "Gun Fortress" (by making the evil mission). If you go from The Ark to Black Comet, Black Doom still does his speech about taking over the planet from finishing The Ark, but you don't get pre-rendered scene, instead you get the cutscene of Black Doom calling Shadow back to the Comet. If you go from Air Fleet to Gun Fortress, you only get the Gun Fortress intro with the president being saved by the Commander and Shadow invading the base. The intro is still the same, though, with the president talking about if the city was evacuated, in spite of the fact that in this route the city doesn't get destroyed, i guess that since the president had to be evacuated in Air Fleet then Central City was overrun by the Black Arms, so while the line is the exact same the vague nature of what is said actually helps the game's structure. Something similar happens in Cosmic Fall, in the intro Shadow says "What does this all mean? These memories, the Doctor's actions and words... Nothing makes sense!" the "memories" can work to refer to multiple things in the game, but it's most likely a tie-in line intended to connect to Space Gadget or Lost Impact, both levels in which Shadow regains a lot of confusing memories, and the direct reference to Eggman is there because you cannot get to Cosmic Fall without coming across Eggman at least once in the game. The narrative of the game does a lot of stuff like that, leaving things open so that a statement could refer to a multitude of previous levels, or to something more general, rarely do you get unique path cutscenes like that one.
@@Jsonspendulum I could be wrong or I'm not sure if they meant that, but there is this one cutscene/cinematic where shadow is walking on a field and Doom teleports him to space (or gives him the illusion). If I rememeber right, if you did the hero mission before that, the cutscene will start at day time when shadow walks across the field. If you did the villian mission, then the cutscene starts at night or sunset. As I said, not sure if they meant that, but maybe some similiar cutscenes exist at another place too.
Im sad they changed amy i agree with everything you said great video
Saw this on tiktok. Love your video!
Thanks a ton!
326? Why does that not sound feasible, like at all?
