The problems with trying to scale psychedelic therapy in the medical model. Integrity over profit.
The commodification and commercialization of the medical model of psychedelics has increasingly shown to have problems. Incentives for profit and control increase, while the integrity and quality of the practitioners and facilitators can't keep up to provide safe and effective treatment. There will be plenty of issues in the explosion of the medicalization model of psychedelics. Power dynamics between the therapist and clients as well as increased price for therapy and services. Authoritarian models of psychedelics have increased.
Ketamine therapy has already shown to have many issues and the negative or harmful narratives seem to get suppressed to maintain the positive stories for good press and profit. Big Pharma has a bad track record for causing harm and repressing negative elements of medicine and treatment to maintain profit and control. These are subjects that need to be addressed and talked about.

Really good conversation. 25 years of experimenting with psychedelics and now I feel like they are drugs that give the SENSATION of insight and meaning, without any tangible insight or meaning. I think that's why people keep doing them. "It felt like I had the answer to what the meaning of life is and the secret of the Universe." It might feel like you had the answer, the insight or the sacred knowledge, but that's just a drug induced delusion. I highly recommend the Psymposia stuff and James Kent's Dosenation, both of which seem to go along with the "reformed-cheerleader" mentality of exploring pitfalls in the psychedelic space. Good work.

Many people Robert has been involved with through his career are agents & spies of one kind or another, the entire "psychedelic renaissance" is a scam. The mushrooms gave him a mission huh? He was so charming & gifted Shulgin & UCB get him a lab to manufacture drugs, LOL. Get off the bus, its all in your mind. Many have been making big $$$ off the deception for yrs & yrs. . Does RF have stock in the psychedelic market? Robert seems to be doing a lot CYOA here & spinning. I see RF is doing his same old.. "everybody's dirty but me".. Host should have not let him squirm & dance on so many questions.
