Does anybody have guitar tabs for this?

Almost didn't put this one out??? Up until this song "Invisible" was my favorite song by you guys. "Darkness Dies" is an incredible song. This video doesn't do it the justice it deserves. Glad it hit the newest album, for the album was well recorded.

My experience of writing songs is similar to what you've described, Matthew. More often than not, a guitar rhythm pattern and/or riff starts out first, then lyrics begin to formulate, then more guitar, etc. I have dozens of song starts that are sitting in my wheelhouse... some for as long as ten or more years old... and every now and then I'll bring one out of the closet and the rest of it takes shape. Rarely does a complete song just come to me in a half-hour or less... with the exception of "Psalm 23" (a Celtic style song) which came to me within 20 minutes while sitting poolside at a hotel in Indianapolis some years ago. I was sitting there, watching people come and go, and out-of-the-blue the song started forming deep inside me. I ran up to my room, grabbed my guitar and Bible, went back down to the poolside table, and within minutes the song was complete. A similar thing happened when I wrote "Angel in White" for my wedding 42 years ago, except that song actually came to me in a dream (the night before my wedding!). Inspiration from God never ceases to amaze me!

The show was amazing! I was emotional seeing live music after such a crazy last year! Drove 5 hours to get there and the Murray Hill Theatre/Disciple and the other bands were epic! Praise Jesus for this song and their Ministry :) thanks for posting 🙏

When I said I like to hear you write a tune that was more cryptic, mysterious, and still spiritual I never thought you would knock it out of the park like you did. I love it! I really dig the calm, thoughtful, raspy voice. Thanks for sharing the message behind it too! Well done Matthew! Your song of faith and spiritual yearning contains many thematic elements found in mystical music the world over which lends credence to the authenticity of its message. It is sincere without being cloying and yet conveys its message without being bombastic or sanctimonious. A fine piece of spiritual song-writing! I think this will be one of the tunes you'l be known for in the future. I think this will be one of the tunes you'l be known for in the future.
