One of the worst stories I’ve read in the name of sci-fi
Lmao I just understood the first few minutes when you said "Double plus good". Is it because they replaced the adverbs and adjectives in 1984?
Cant decide whether I like this approach to reading a classic of this century. However, it works on a psychological level.

Thank you for this review of "It Can't Happen Here". I read it, along with several other of Lewis's novels, over 30 years ago, and feel this is more relevant than ever. I've recommended it to most of my friends and family, as it's a play book for things happening in today's politics.

Kennedy had been hit by separate bullets. He told interviewer Tom Johnson that he was not convinced that Lee Harvey Oswald killed Kennedy: "We don't have any proof that Oswald fired the rifle, and never did. Nobody's yet been able to put him in the building (Texas School Book Depository) with a gun in his hand."
