Not Sedona, but this is helpful information.
@@kditommaso I agree .... it will never be Sedona to me.... I'm glad the information was helpful.... thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment.
Gloves Greg. Lol
@@katzzvideo that's what I told him!
Possibly so.... but right now it's more affordable than Sedona... thanks for watching and taking the time to comment... it is greatly appreciated
Yes, it may not be the next Sedona but it will be pretty close. Prices will go up because it is so close maybe
Is Bear Mountain on your hiking list?
Yes it is to be recorded.... I'll see if we can work it in by March... before all the tourists show up 😂... thank you so much for watching!
@@LIVINInSedona Awesome. One of my all time favorites... might be my favorite. The trail is entirely south facing and a lot of rock slabs to traverse, so it gets quite toasty. Not much shade at all the entire route. Enjoy your channel.
Great video ❤
@@marilynmetz4710 thank you so much for watching!
Don't move to Sedona if you need medical care! The number ONE reason why people leave Sedona after a few years: total absence of decent medical care. The closest is Flagstaff, Prescott, or Scottsdale. Driving back and forth gets old after a while. Emergencies? I just had one, car accident, and the Cottonwood ER was horrendous, worse than any clinic or hospital I have visited in Third World countries. Fortunately, I am a retired physician and I was able to take care of a lot of things myself, and avoid to be hurt by extremely incompetent medical personal.
Yes I really like the Sedona area. I will have to see what are some of the good things in this area.
@@JustinEAGLE-x8c thank you for watching and commenting. Sedona should be on everyone's bucket list. Stay tuned next week for our hike of the month.... beautiful views!

Beware that there is Sedona proper, and other places around, which are completely different than Sedona: mentalities, shopping, services, education level, security, vibes, cleanliness, all depends where you come from, what you are used to and what are your priorities. There is a reason why houses in Cornville, Cottonwood, Clarkdale, etc. are half price than in Sedona. As for Jerome, forget it!
TRAFFIC BACKED UP FOR MILES!! And the Pink Jeeps have wrecked the roads to the neat spots! PAYOFFS TO CITY COUNCIL AGAIN!!
The traffic is SO BAD you can’t even get into SEDONA! Backed for MILES because they put a “PEDESTRIAN” walk in to divert customers to the crystal shop…….ridiculous!!
Florida is better!!
I didn't say it was bad....just different 😂
It’s maga bad.
Certainly loved it 50 years ago while going to school in Flagstaff. If you have enough money - I'm sure it would be amazing.
Greg went to NAU...
ALL places in the world that are desirable have become expensive. Nothing under 1 or even 2 million, it is a very minimum. Same in Europe, in Canada, even in Morocco...

Yep....check out this video for that question.... ua-cam.com/video/n6KF07j3ckw/v-deo.htmlsi=RuivfcFL2UDng3Ml

Doing great dude, beautiful videos but they are not getting the reach and views they deserve. I saw you are missing the optimization part but why!
You lost your credibility when you said the Grand Canyon is just a big hole in the ground. :) You've gotta hike the rim-to-rim and you'll change your mind. (Yes, I have hiked in Bryce, Zion, Yellowstone, Tetons, Yosemite, ...) Not saying Sedona isn't great...

Those areas are way too Republican at the moment. Once they are more evenly split, maybe.
@@hikergirl603 I see just as many Democrats with their signs as Republicans with their signs...
No such thing as too Republican ;-) That is a top selling point!
Just stop! Unless you can buy an already built home, please move elsewhere. The streets in all of the Verde Valley are way too crowded and the water situation is already becoming dire. There are other places to live.
Most locals will tell you that most anything Verde Valley Medical Center/Northern Arizona Health is no bueno. We are technically a medically undeserved community. If you're going to blast us out to the world, at least represent things truthfully. Thanks Cami.
@@desertwaters_808 thank you for watching the video and for comment. Being a former Nurse Practitioner.... I would agree with you on the community being underserved. However, I do believe that is changing...at least the community is trying. I have met several healthcare providers here that have been recruited here for that purpose. I have even met providers from my home state that have come for that reason. Things won't change over night but it is improving. Again thank you for watching.
Great video. I recently was down in Cottonwood to just check things out and vacation a little, and I will say I love the whole area. I will be looking into retiring here in 4 years. I am very active, kayaking, hiking and horseback riding which are all things that are available here. I also paint western art that I do sale as a hobby. Can you go over how long it takes to get to hospitals and available shopping, festivals as well? Thanks!
Thank you for commenting.... and for watching the video! Really from Cornville to Cottonwood your looking at 10-15 minutes tops 20 is you are coming from the outer edges of Cornville...to the hospital, dining, shopping and festivals. Really any of the surrounding area are at most a 30 minute drive to camp verde. Now if you wanted to go to Flagstaff or Prescott for more amenities like Kohl's and Costco... this types of places...45 minutes to an hour. Hope that was helpful and I will try to keep those points in mind for future videos!
Thanks for the videos! Would you be willing to share your hairstylist’s info? I’ll be visiting next month and would love to try and get an appointment. Odd request, I know!

Hi Cami: My wife, Sherry and I just discovered your channel. We have actually been looking to buy a second condo in Sedona for about 15 years now and we are hoping that this next spring perhaps we will finally have the funds to do this. I have done extensive research over the years looking into the different areas and condos and have pretty much decided that Park Place in West Sedona is perfect for us. The condos there such as 3871 Portofino Way is exactly what we are looking for which duplicates what we have here in Lethbridge Alberta, Canada. Right down to the underground parking and storage. If there was a possibility that you could do a video of that complex down the road that would be great! We would love to have your take on it. Also when the time comes Sherry and I both feel you are the right person for us to handle such a large purchase and in our circumstance it would most likely be a sight unseen buy. And yes we know this is a complicated way to buy but people do it around the world constantly. Again really enjoy your videos. You have taught me stuff I never knew even after 15 years of research!! Thanks Jay and Sherry Collins.
Hi Jay and Sherry.....thank you so much for reaching out... it is so helpful to me. And yes Park Place would be a great video topic... It's always the "inclusive" liberals who hate anyone with differing opinions.
you can but why would you want to.,we don't have any water, the quiet open space that everyone wants is going away faster than the water. You will be sick of brown , everything is brown the ground the weeds the houses. I have never seen so many houses crammed together on postage stamp sized lots. . In the 100 degree heat tempers flare and there are fights and shootings every day. They get you with the promise of low taxes. Wait till you have to register a car. I just bought a car and the slip said $975 just to register it. It would have been $85 dollars back home. Food is terrible you won't find a decent pizza any where or a cheese steak or any seafood, but we got mexican places on every corner. how many taco places do we need. Our schools are the worst in the nation. There is a rock at the bottom of the list, if you turn over that rock you will see AZ schools. I would say"traffic/tourist" would be a big question,,for people who live in Sedona is daily commuting around town for shopping eating etc etc really hindered because of the massive influx of tourist and the traffic they bring along with them? i would envision everyday life a real pain in the ass having to navigate the area with traffic jams and congested restaurants and shopping...it looks like heaven out there but whats daily life like with tourist and traffic?
@@ShOwStOpp3rr it’s a very good point. I didn’t add it to the list as this is focused on retirees… that most likely don’t have a job to get to… most of us that live here… plan our day around the high tourist season that brings the traffic craziness. However, currently our city is going to great measures with new traffic flow patterns and the underground pedestrian crossing to alleviate these issues…. But we will see if it works! Thank you for your comment it is greatly appreciated.
As a long-time Verde Valley/Sedona resident, I can tell you that the traffic and congestion all around town seems to get worse each year. I moved out of Sedona largely bc it's so busy everywhere in town anymore. I'm sure for folks from the city it will feel "normal", but for those of us who have been around for a while, it has started to wear on the nerves for sure.
All depends where you live in Sedona. In some areas, yes, usually the most expensive ones, you don't see neither hear tourists at all and do your shopping at the right time. It is not as bad as people say. That also means that you are retired or work from home...
