Thanks! you saved another life in Feb 2025!
Thanks for the video. So, I do think input with "natural display" is very helpful. But i really dont understand why one would like the output of 5/2 is "5/2". What am I missing here?
Thanks for your comment. I am with you. No clue why this is the default. Thank goodness we can change the default.
Thank you so much for this! Life saver for my statistics class (haha)
Glad it helped!
Thanks a lot! Perfect!
Glad it helped!
Damn 🔥and my exam is tomorrow what a big help
Good luck on your test! Glad you found this.
Thanks so much. That was helpful
Thanks for letting me know it was helpful.
Thank you
Thanks for the comment! Glad this helped.
thank you
Glad it helped!
thank you saved me in my stats exam
Thanks for letting me know! I’m glad it helped.
your video is a blessing! thank you!
I’m so glad this helped!
How do you know the 20% is split evenly?
If the 80% is centered in the middle, the remaining 20% has to be evenly split between both edges. If the question had said the bottom or top 80% then it would not be split even.
Good one
thank you!!!
You are welcome
What if we wanted to find the probability of 9 "OR MORE" out of 15, is there a way to calculate this on this calculator? Without entering in the equation and replacing "r" with 9,10,11,12,13,14,15. I am very curious to know if there is.
Thank you. You were more helpful than my teacher fumbling through it.
Glad I could help! Sorry your teacher stumbled around
omg! it finally makes sense, thx
Wow! So glad to hear you got it!
THANK YOUUUU SO MUCH!! my stats prof. shows us how to use the calculator which is awesome but nobody has a ti-83+ anymore😫😫 you saved me
So glad I could help!
THANK YOU!
help! when i go to calculate and enter the list number it says: ERR:ARGUMENT 1:QUIT 2:GO TO and when I hit go to it just goes back to the 1-VAR Stats screen
Thank you thank you I was like literally struggling with this calculator for like forever thank you so much 🎉
God bless you
Glad you found this helpful! Thanks for taking the time to comment.
2024 and your still saving lives. Lol thanks I was about to throw this calculator in the garbage.
So glad you found a fix before you had to throw it in the garbage can! I appreciate your comment.
THANK YOU SO MUCH I HAD TO SUFFER THROUGH GEOMETRY CONVERTING IT ON MY OWN
Oh no! How horrible!
Thank you! Simple and to the point!
My question is, if classical probability approach is used for equaly likely events then why hypergeometric distribution uses this approach where the events are not equaly likely and probability of success isn't fixed.
It seems if you’ve answered your own question within the question. Since probability isn’t equally likely, the same method can not be used. Or perhaps I’m not understanding the question. Otherwise, I would’ve responded with, The probability is changing due to sampling without replacement. But I’m guessing you’re asking the question related to a specific course set or topic that was discussed. So it might be specific to the context of what you’re studying.
Amazing video, thank you so much.
Glad it helped!
You are a star Ladera Barbee. This video is so helpful for students. Keep up the good work dear. Take care now.
Very good explanation on the statistics part of it, but might I suggest (without meaning to sound rude or insensitive) that you consider looking through the manual for the calculator in order to "get to know your tool", so to speak ? Just skim the statistics part of the manual, if anything, to see what functions the calculator supports, if that is what you primarily use it for. Also, FYI, the tip from bobish101 about the Binomialpdf function also works on the TI-30X Pro Mathprint (in case you have any students that should happen to have bought this calculator). The button sequence is the exact same.
THANK YOU!!!!!!
So glad you found this helpful!
How do I get it to not show my answer in pi. For example 50pi will only show as 50pi not decimal
Hi, sorry to not get back to you sooner. Although I don’t know the right way, I came up with a makeshift way. Once you see an answer with pie, you can hit the second button and the right parentheses to turn the number into a percent. But then you would need to multiply by 100 to the decimal is in the correct location. For example, if you get 50pi, hit “2nd” then “)”. You’ll see 15707.96…%, now move the decimal 2 places to the left to get 157.0786…. You know this is right since 50x3.14 = 157
Can this calculator backspace? Like i enter 12345 but now i just want only 1234, can it backspace digit “5” at the end?
Ma’am…you saved my life and probably my future career😭. Thank youu❤️❤️
So glad you found the help you needed!
Let's pretend that we didn't look at your first problem. How about just starting from the beginning.
YOU ARE AN ANGEL THANK YOU
How kind. Glad this helped!
Thank you!
Is this calculator also able to do binomial probability distribution or no?
Good morning Ladera , many thanks for your knowledge sharing and I am very grateful for your time helping us to comprehend :)
Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to comment! I’m glad you found this helpful.
what if the number before the plus or minus is a negative number?
Hi, thanks for your question. The number before the plus or minus should not be negative on a proportion. It could be for a mean, but not a standard deviation. If you have a negative sample mean, you would still add and subtract the margin of error. But be sure for confidence intervals to always list the smaller number first.
Thank you so much!!! You saved me twice because TI83 wasn't allowed so I had to use this calculator!
Glad it helped!
thank you sooo much!! you saved me from an anxiety attack. you're an angel 🫶🫶
So glad you found the video!
im so happy this video exists
Oh good!
@@lbstats Could you make a tutorial on how to do bpdf on the TI-34? 🙏🙏
That's so cool, I prefer to use MATH mode cause exponential is more note friendly.
Good to know!
Just bought a TI-34 for my son. Your tutorial is very helpful.
Thx!
How put more than 42 Numbers ?
Sorry, I don’t know that. Good luck finding an answer.
Best explanation
Thx!
@@lbstats Most welcome
thank you very much
So glad it helped!
thanks for your help
Of course!
Thankyou! I couldn't figure it out even with the manual
Wow, glad you found this!
Thank you legend! I'm studying for exams and have been grinding my brain for quite some time with this issue
I hope your exams went well
There is a button above the enter that can change from fraction to decimal
True, but then you would need to hit it every time if you only want decimals. So, if you want decimals without hitting that extra button, this is how to get there! 😁
