good video
The recent update of squawkabilly ex really boost up this deck; unfort that compressor is still out of expanded format
I'm personally not a fan of Squawkabilly because you can only use its ability turn 1, so it's a worse Dedenne GX. I wouldn't play both Dedenne and Squawkabilly because it takes up too much bench space , and I want to try and set up 3 Zebstrikas every game because a Zebstrika will probably discard more energy than Squawk or Dedenne will over the course of the whole game. We don't have compressor, but at least we'll get the Perfect Mixture ACE-SPEC soon :).
hey, great video. off topic, which decks do you think are the top 3 right now in the beta expanded format?
Thank you so much! In no particular order, Mew VMAX, ADP/Zacian/Bronzong and Miraidon seem really strong in Live Expanded right now. Also, special mention to Lugia as well, which is really broken with Aurora/Rainbow energies.
@@mrdogptcgl oh I see, are there any viable mill decks I could play?
@@leopaso Wugtrio Mill might be the best mill deck. It can use reversal energy and triple acceleration to power up its attack and you have access to Victini from Guardians Rising to reflip coins if you need to.
@@mrdogptcgl i see, it would be cool if you could send me the decklist! how about any control/stall? are those valid?
@@leopaso I don't have a list for it, but this person does: ua-cam.com/video/n2L14_3weZ8/v-deo.html They probably have lists for control/stall decks, too.
Lets go!
Lets go
You should add dragonite to attach energies around
I did think about it, but I've never felt like I needed it so far
👍
as a dragapult player, i hate this deck
Good idea
Great deck 😮
im running heatran with basculegion and radiant steelix. what dou you think?
I never thought of steelix. That's a really good idea!
@@mrdogptcgl yeah just need to secure some resources to the board and hands first and after steelix ,use basculegion , after that even with only 1 metang guaranteed 4 metal energies and 1 attach per turn.
💀
Looking back, I think I played that 2nd game quite poorly. I think I should've got cleffa rather bidoof or pidgey. Then I could've drawn out of my dead hand.
I have a very unique expanded deck if you are interested. The goal is to set up with at least 2 grubbins and 3 sobbles (the last bench spot depends on matchup) and then use the shady dealings engine to evolve a constant flow of vikavolts. There are lots of 1 of supporters and tech cards so I will give a brief explanation of each. The turo is so that you can evolve into an inteleon, get an item and pick the inteleon back up. Field blower should only be used to fix math by knocking bravery charm etc, path counters many rule box pokemon and can save you (ie against duraladon vmax), giant bomb is useful in a lot of matchups but specifically against adp becuase it makes their adp one shotable and rescue stretcher gets you out of a bind if prizes are weird or resources are mismanaged, and echoing horn which can bring back a basic two prizer (often dedenne, crobat, squak, lumineon or eldegoss) and allow you to win the game when the opponent thinks they will get at least one more turn. One other op tech is the capture energy, which is only used to get more basics and often lets you attack on your first turn going second to either fill the bench with grubbins or sobbles. The strat is to use it on whichever basic you have less of or with sobble if you have at least 2 grubbins. As far as the list goes, i have done extensive testing but there are still some cards that I am unsure about. I switched to the new grubbins because i think their attack is better but maybe the unbroken bonds grubbin is better. Also i'm not sure about 2 cynthias, you def need that slot to be a supporter but maybe another irida instead. Finally, I have used pal pad in the past but found it to not be necessary especially with hyper aroma. lmk if you try the deck and how you like it, I have got a 21 winstreak, including 3 adp(tough matchup) but eventually got donked. Also rest in peace scoop up net, deck used to be even more broken (I really hope they re-print one that says no rule box pokemon). Pokémon: 8 4 Grubbin TEF 18 4 Sobble CRE 41 3 Vikavolt FST 101 4 Charjabug UNB 58 PH 2 Inteleon SHF 100 1 Inteleon EVS 227 1 Vikavolt SMP 208 4 Drizzile SHF 99 Trainer: 17 1 Rescue Stretcher BUS 165 1 Iono PAL 254 1 Boss's Orders PAL 265 4 Rescue Carrier EVS 154 1 Arezu LOR 189 1 Irida ASR 186 2 Cynthia HIF 151 3 Level Ball BST 181 1 Field Blower GRI 163 1 Professor Turo's Scenario PAR 257 1 Hyper Aroma TWM 152 2 Path to the Peak ASR 213 1 Echoing Horn CRE 225 4 Evolution Incense SSH 163 1 Giant Bomb UNM 251 4 Buddy-Buddy Poffin TWM 223 4 Rare Candy GRI 165 Energy: 1 4 Capture Energy DAA 201 Total Cards: 60
Very nice deck. I never thought about how good hyper aroma would be in a deck like that. I'll try it out for sure!
Ptcgo pack opening vibes ❤❤❤
Why is the quailty so bad? 480 is really low ...
I'll see what I can do to improve it for future content.
@@mrdogptcgl But I enjoyed the deck nevertheless. :) Pretty nasty ...

How to play Lugia in 2024
As a Blissey Ex player, no, its really not xD
I think Dragapult can take the L to Blissey since Blissey takes the L to Lugia, Gardy, Ogerpon/Bolt and lost box.
@@mrdogptcgl The Lugia MU is quite closer than you'd think. Its not an auto loss Gardy can be ruined by Munki, which can help you clinch games by taking muktiple prize turns and being annoying in untile the absolute late game. Ogerpon bot is an auto loss. Dont really see how blissey can solve it. Lost box dont do squat to Blissey
@@primallatiosz9540 I don't see how you can defeat Gardy. They can just OHKO your blissey with drifloon or they can kill your Munkidoris with scream tail or cresselia and avoid putting damage counters on your side of the field. Lost box can also just snipe your munkidoris with sableye, or they can kill a munkidori for 2 prizes with Iron Hands which blissey can't OHKO. And when lost box has 2 prizes remaining, it can kill a blissey with Roaring Moon.
very strong deck
Would you recommend adding Dialga? It functions similair to Heatran but maybe it would require too much energy
You certainly could, but I didn't add it because I wanted to make a single prize deck, and I thought Dialga would steal the spotlight , and I wanted the focus to be on the new Heatran card.
@@mrdogptcgl I understand
Saludos desde Colombia
Hola :)
30:15 duuuuuuuuude, my eyes hurt so much with you conceding that game, you just had to boss/prime catcher the froslass and win the game
He didn't have enough energy to attack froslass
cant be broken when its wrecked by ogerpon on ladder
Good point. The lost zone version does better against Ogerpon, though.
@@mrdogptcgl haven't tried it yet. I was losing my mind yesterday against Oger/Rage. Playing mostly Miriadon EX today
I take 4 prize Turns against it so my list is fine against it
I'd love to see your list if you're willing to share it.

On limitless tcg there are datas for expanded decks but how do people play the old expanded?
Those are for webcam tournaments or in person tournaments.
First like and comment? Keep up the deck making and preview, will help on deciding a deck for the new meta Pidgeot control and charizard can dominate tho except form the fighting ogerpon
I subbed :)
You're awesome!
I still play this super regularly. 1 Walking Wake, as an easy backup attacker, and I also use 1 Fini GX, as another Out to problematic mons. Absolutely love this deck still lol
I never considered Tapu Fini GX. That's a really good idea!
How have you been doing against LZB and ChienPao with this? What are your easiest and hardest MUs?
LZB is unfavoured because they can usually start taking KOs before Klawf can and their attackers can be set up easier. Chien Pao is also unfavoured because we can't OHKO a Chien Pao unless we play Maximum belt or Grant. Best matchups are probably Arceus decks because we can hit for weakness and Baby Roaring Moon/Ancient Box because we easily OHKO their attackers and they often miss attacks because they can't set up new attackers to keep up.
I ran a version of this in expanded that used Tapu Koco GX to move all the energies to 1 pokemon, then I would use Ninja Boy to swap it out for something that could make use of the enegies. The best play in the deck got Pikachu&Zekrom Tag GX out on turn 2 with the GX attack loaded and ready to hit for a combined 370 damage Edit: In my experience, its usually a good idea to search all the Emolgas out and use them to search for the rest of the cards as it thins the deck out extremely well. You can easily get all the nuzzle cards out of the deck by turn 2 allowing you to draw trainer and supporter cards out that can disrupt your opponent as well as recycle your deck to keep it going. But thats just my play style and it has worked well for me. So Im not gonna say you played it wrong as your play style may work differently than mine
I love the idea of Ninja Boy and PikaRom! You make a good point about thinning out the deck. I don't remember my thinking in the video, but maybe I didn't want to get my Nuzzle Pokemon out the deck in case I had to play Professor's Research which would discard them.
Stop making disgusting sounds with your mouth. You need to move your mic farther away and get a pop filter.
I was using a pop filter already. I prefer keeping my mic close because my natural speaking voice is quiet. I added a filter on OBS to remove most background noises on my more recent videos, so they should hopefully have better audio. But thank you for the feedback.
Thank you!!!
Can you do a deck showcase of the new non-ex Roaring Moon? Looks like a fun deck.

Yay! Nice to see someone with a original deck, the game's gotten stale for me as of late, all I seem to be doing is playing the same old Charizard, Roaring Moon, Giratina and Chien-Pao decks, the lack of original ideas, personality, desperation to win and pathetic opponents on offer at present is sad.
Appreciate the support. I kind of agree with you about the game feeling stale sometimes, like recently where Charizard is overwhelmingly the most played deck in tournaments, but I think there is a lot more diversity in the format than there has been for the last couple of years and I like that stage 2 decks are slowly becoming more viable. Hopefully things will get better over time :) .
Imma need a list whenever you get a chance cause the deck looks fun.

Cobalion + Cram is YES
I play it with Clefairy/Ditto, lots of switch/escape rope. I attack first turn like for 140. Second turn I drop Cafable ex and the tag team gx. Attack with Cafable and move energy to the GX. Move for free next turn and profit. But if at turn one you have Ninja Boy on hand, you can start attacking since turn one with the GX
That's really creative!
Loved the Lugia game; I am bad and never considered a lot of the lines of play you did. Cheers

I made a mistake in the video in the deck overview. I forgot to factor in that the DTE causes Klawf to deal 20 less damage, so I gave the wrong the damage numbers.
probably good to include 1 forest seal stone
You're right! I don't know how I forgot about that.
is computer illegal?
Yes. The Black and White and X and Y sets are not currently playable on PTCG Live, but they will be added at some point in the future.
No Lost Blender??
Lost blender felt horrible as there weren't always many cards I wanted to lost zone. You already have to discard lots of cards with Ultra ball, but at least you have exeggcute to help you with this.
This deck actually seems super strong
You could do Muscle Band instead of Vitality Band btw, for 20 damage instead of 10 I have Mew VMAX built for expanded IRL, but I struggle vs Regidrago VSTAR esp if i can't set up fast enough. They have ways to 1 shot Mew VMAX and take an extra turn which is extremely difficult to keep up with. Any idea what I can do to play around or counter this deck? Tried Supporters like Karen to empty the discard pile but they just Battle Compressor it back in. Almost considered running Crushing Hammers just to get rid of the Double Dragon energies Lmk if you have a Discord or something I could chat on too
Muscle band isn't legal in PTCG Live Expanded, but it's a good idea for proper expanded. Regidrago does seem like a tough match up for Mew, but it is inconsistent sometimes, so using hand disruption + path should hopefully slow them down. You could also try using Girafarig to lost zone their Pokemon in the discard pile so it's more difficult for them to one hit KO you. Here's a link to my Discord server: discord.gg/U3Wgb93Yt4 If you want to post your Mew list in there, I can take a look at it if you like!
@@mrdogptcgl Just joined. I'll lay the deck out and get a photo ready
maybe run 2 enhanced hammers
I remember seeing other creators complaining about how annoying Honchkrow-GX was, I now understand why lol
Honchkrow and Pheramosa-GX did make the Expanded ladder very frustrating sometimes!
Lol everything???
Heyy dogs! Love these video showcases, really helps us in deciding what deck to get for this set. Could I reccomend you to cover miraidon/iron hands? I bought this deck in TCGL and i think some play with it in action would be great :)). Keep it up! Love these videos, i must try roaring moon but i always like playing the underdog decks or ones not as popular haha.
Thank you for the kind words! Miraidon hands is a great idea!
I think you misplayed Vs Mew Gen I get that you wanted to keep pokestop but You could of One shotted that Genesect with the Second attack without Frenzied Gouging yourself 200 dmg
My reasoning was that one of our lose conditions was not getting a 3rd attacker set up, and this was looking possible given that my hand wasn't that great before my attack, and getting a 3rd attacker set up would become more and more difficult later on in the game when they Judge/Iono path us. Giving my opponent a psychic leap KO was unfortunate, but I didn't think it would matter because they were probably going to have to attack into us with a Mew VMAX again at some point, so even if they attacked us with Meloetta at some point, we could take 2 prizes from KOing the Genesect, then 1 prize on the Meloetta and 3 prizes on a Mew VMAX.
@@mrdogptcgl ahh gotcha glad to hear the reasoning behind it I was like they could of just saved moon
