Wow, I never would have thought of this in terms of Gravity Falls, but this actually fits shockingly well. Ford wanting to reunite with his estranged, realizing he really may be the monster, remembering he didn't speak up when his brother was "killed" from his family being ostricized, he was the only one who didn't think this experiment was dangerous
